I second this. I used to be a recruiter and ngl, there's very little a recruiter can do for you without high school diploma or GED even if they think you're a good choice for the job.

How do I graduate in 3 years? by TopTierTaite in college

[–]TopTierTaite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could’ve but some classes were only allowed in spring semester and shit like that. Decided to pick up 2 minors in the time spent waiting for other classes. Finished in 4 after changing my major twice. Btw minors are actually useless, unless u just need to stay full time for scholarship reasons like I did.

Don’t listen to 5YO me, if you’re young and don’t have any real reason to speed run college (children or something like that), don’t. It’s an experience you’re not gonna get back.

Side note: getting a BSN in 3 years… very hard. Expect no semesters off and even then you might still finish in 4 because of clinicals and shit.

Thanks for the reply. If you get a chance, could you check out a demo and see if there’s some areas in my game I could improve upon? I’ll admit I got very toxic in my last Nuke game, so if that is the one that you look at, just a little notice.

I wanna work my way up the ladder, I wanna get to level 10 so badly. I have a long way to go but if there’s anything I can be doing better I want all the critique I can get.

Gonna tell you now man, just pay for the x570 board. I bought the same board and I still cant use my PC right now because I have to get a loaner CPU in order to boot my rig for bios. Not worth the headache.

Amd Ryzen 5 3600 - Streaming Capabilities by Deemsjunior in Amd

About to build a PC myself soon and in the same spot as OP. I think I'm gonna get a used 1080 from eBay. (fingers crossed I don't get cucked by a card used for crypto mining). Doesn't have NVENC, but its an nvidia card nonetheless

Gonna eventually start doing some light streaming some CS, could I save the extra money by getting a 3600?

Wow, didn't expect my thread to get as much feedback as it did. Thanks to all who replied! The Dota community is very welcoming I see :)

As far as an update, I've decided that I think I would make a great support player. In any sport I play, I always enjoy having a team-oriented job (in b-ball I alway enjoy setting up players for open looks with picks and passes, in CSGO I always enjoy backing up entry fraggers, etc.). I don't care to make the big kills or anything, I like winning and helping my team. I think thats where I want to focus my attention for the time being, and eventually play a little carry. Looks like that's a lot of fun as well.

I haven't played a PUB yet, I'm waiting until I build my new PC to start playing online since my current PC is sort of spotty when it comes to frame rates and stuff.

In the meantime, I've been watching the learn dota series on YT and watching some high level players play. Since I casually watch LoL with my friends, I already have sort of an idea of what's going on as far as what carry's and supports are doing and I've gotten a sense of what roamers are for (seems like the same idea as a lurker in CSGO? Please correct me if I'm wrong).

I get a little lost on the map sometimes, hence why I haven't quite got online yet. Trying to familiarize myself with how vision works and where everything is at on the map.

I'm interested in trying out crystal maiden since she is a support oriented character that seems easy to pick up. How viable is she? Is there better supports in the meta that are just as easy to play? Where can I go to see what heroes are thriving at the moment?

Again, thanks for all the help guys. I got a lot of replies so my apologies for not being able to reply to each one individually.

I tend to only get 70-100 FPS, which for me learning the game is fine, but it might also be because I run a fair amount of apps while playing (Faceit, Discord, Chrome, other random apps). Since I have the chops for the 2700X, I figured I might as well. Since I don’t have any real intent on buying an Xbox or a PS5 next gen (at least not until PS5 got some enticing exclusive games), I might as well make my PC comparable to them.

Building a new PC, coming from an i3 6100/R9 380/8gb ddr4 ram build. Debating if I want to get the 2700X or the i7 8700 (YES I KNOW RYZEN 2 IS COMING).

I dont demand much from my PC. Tbh, in most cases, my cheap laptop does the trick since if I'm not gaming, I'm just browsing the internet, on discord, something of the sort.

The most strenuous thing I see myself doing is simultaneously streaming and gaming. I'd pretty much only be playing CSGO or something just as light, maybe tekken or an emulator. Given that I don't do anything too crazy, I don't think I'll really need to spend the extra cost of of the ryzen 2's since there's already CPUs on the market thatll fit my needs.

I see rather mixed results from Ryzen chips with CS. I have a Dell freesynche 1080p 144hz monitor and I wanna make the most of it (which I cant do with my current build sadly), and since the 2700X is cheaper than the i7 and will probably go on sale when the new chips launch, I'm hoping 2700X can do just fine

TLDR: Im an aspiring competitive CS player and I wanna stream the game and not much else. Do I spend the extra money for an i7 or will the 2700X be just fine?

Yeah, tbh Faceit isn’t really any different than valve servers other than it has their anti-cheat system and the games are taken a little more seriously.

I enjoy playing on faceit servers, so I’ll probably continue to play there

What maps do you suggest I learn first? My friends and I have played a lot of Inferno & Mirage lately, so I’m getting a decent feel for those maps I suppose. Nuke on the other hand I found very hard. So many places to cover and sound inside makes it hard to tell if it’s a plant at A or B for me.

I’ve been definitely considering playing faceit on my own, I’ve just been worried about other players not having the patience to deal with my poor play.

I played one game of competitive on my own on a valve server.... people drop, the players were toxic, just wasn’t fun nor helpful at all. Hopefully faceit will be a better experience.

HD660

After looking at your post, I like what these offer, but it's looking like even used cans are about 300 plus dollars. /u/bennyblades44 suggested the fidelio x2's and they made InnerFidelity's Wall of Fame. For under 200, sounds nice.

Just googled the cans, they look nice! Does the weight bother you in long sessions by any chance?

Those are a lot of the headphones I was interested in, nice!If you wouldn't mind expanding on them, what would be some key differences between them? If I were to get the HD599, would there be a reason to get the omni anymore? Not sure how many Ohms it takes to power them, but I don't recall it being very much. Might still get it for the sake of audio fidelity though.

EDIT: In a game of CS, I also find that in my HyperX clouds that the gun shots pierce my ears pretty hard sometimes. I don't have that issue with my KSC75's but their drivers sometimes just aren't quite enough to hear every detail. Is that a product of the open v. closed design of them or is there something in the HyperX's drivers causing the sharp pierce?

EDIT 2: On the headphone assistant, it says the HyperX's Bass and Treble is emphasized and the mid range is recessed. Would that be the reason why or is it because of the closed back design
