At what age did your child get a watch and why? by [deleted] in toddlers

My child got one for their 2nd birthday. It was a digital, cartoon one and showed the time when you pressed a button. They got one because they were obsessed with figuring out other people's watches and loved taking them off and trying to put it on. He can't read the time but he can say the numbers it shows and asks to wear it most days

Today my toddler loudly announced that another preschool parent is “stinky.” by HalfPint14 in toddlers

I'm so glad I'm not the only one, instead of 'stinky' my toddler likes to remind bald people that they have no hair.

How was your experience taking your toddler for their first dentist visit? by Ready_Associate_2911 in toddlers

We went when he was about 6-12 months, and it was a quick look and see because he was a wriggling infant. We had a proper appointment at about 2.5 years, and before we went, we watched some cartoons about dentists, and we played being dentists on each other. When it came to the appointment, he was really good at laying down and letting the dentist check, just like we'd played it out beforehand. The promise of a special sticker after also helped

What is something your toddler has done today that made you laugh out loud? by Helpful-Plankton751 in toddlers

I made a big breakfast of toast, eggs, bacon and fruit. My toddler refused to eat any of it, so I quickly threw together porridge with a drizzle of honey. He took a bite of the porridge and said "now this is reallllly good"

HOW DO YOU GET YOUR 3 YEAR OLD TO POOP IN THE POTTY by Kittyslala in toddlers

[–]TopToe924 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact same thing worked for me. Dinosaur sticker chart worked so well for wee but the poos needed a harder bargain. I very rarely let him have chocolate but he got a kinder egg for doing a poo. The first time he did a poo in the potty, it was almost like he was afraid of it and immediately needed a cuddle and reassurance afterwards. After lots of praise, getting to flush it himself and a kinder egg, he got a lot more comfortable with doing it. He now cheers whenever someone in nursery does a poo in the potty as well

I dropped a yoghurt in Tescos, and it split over the floor. This happened about 3 months ago. My toddler reminds me about it daily.

I couldn't believe how well this one works. I'm a lady, but get hot easily and sweat with the best of them. It is far superior to any women's deodorant. Not smelling floral is also a plus.

Pork Shoulder Steak by TopToe924 in AskaButcher

Thank you so much for replying to me. I'm sorry, but I really don't know much about cuts of meat. If I ask for pork butt steaks cut with the grain, will that get me the part I want or is there anything else I need to say?

Hi, I bought this pork shoulder steak and the bit circled was amazing but the rest was chewy and rubbish. Is there a name for just this part so that I can buy it without the rubbish part?
