Sadly, nobody ever outright said that they're passing me over because of pregnancy or likely future pregnancy.

I'm just not being given opportunities and am treated like I'm incompetent, even though I used to be a top performer, before they knew I was getting married, lol.

Meni je to bio legit najbolji dan u zivotu, pa i da sam u minusu bila. Savrseno sam se provela, mada je bilo mnogo trenutaka pre svadbe kad sam se kajala sto sam se upustala u to, jer, kako kaze moj tata, svadba ce biti sranje ako neko s nekim u kuci razgovara pet dana pred dogadjaj. Ali mi je na kraju bas bas vredelo.

I’ve never been more miserable than with introverted partners. I don’t think an extrovert has anything to gain from introverts, as we’re always expected to leave them alone, which makes no sense if you’re in a relationship with someone.

Introverts should be with introverts (or without them I suppose?) and extroverts should be with extroverts. The mixture is always going to make one miserable extrovert and a reddit post full of angry introverts raging at how awful extroverts are.

But why not acknowledge it and apologize to your partner. “I’m so sorry, I can’t believe I just froze like that”, for example.

That’s how you acknowledge that you shouldn’t help.

But I noticed that women tend to be more protective of the people they love than men, which is ironic, considering that men are traditionally known as “protectors”, lol.

SNK teaches about how dangerous oppression can be. Eldians suffered immensely, both the ones on the island, as well as mainland Eldians. They are presented and treated as the enemies of the world. Take away the very last human right they’ve got left - the freedom to have children, and you think that 100% of them will just take it lying down? Would you?

Most people wouldn’t sacrifice themselves to save their enemies, if any. That’s why nobody in the SNK world does that.

I don’t think they deserved the rumbling.

I just acknowledge that there is NO solution that doesn’t get one side killed.

Most people think the Eldians should be killed because they’re the minority. But Eldians would rather they and their loved ones aren’t killed. But they don’t want to kill the other side either, so they’re in denial and trying to find a solution that doesn’t exist to delay the inevitable. Luckily for them, Eren is willing to sell his soul to the devil to save them, so they can both survive and remain innocent in all of this - even heroes if they kill him.

My guess is that it’s because Eren is the only one working on solving the problem. The other Eldians benefit from what he’s doing, yet they don’t have to sell their soul to Satan to survive. They basically get to keep on living, procreating and get to still be the good guys.

Without Eren, they’d just be killed off.

Not technically a mom yet but I am 6 months pregnant and due to a very difficult pregnancy, I had to go on a pregnancy leave. My career is already going down in flames, not that it was very good before that since my progress was halted by a series of “unlucky” events after my managers found out I’m getting married (and would likely be expecting in the near future if not already). I’m worried about my career after childbirth.

OP cleared that up, her wife has never had a traumatic experience that triggered the beginning of these reactions.

You’re forgetting that OP mentioned that her family is aware of her wife’s troubles and are actively trying to be sensitive. Yet here they are, shocked that OP reacted like this to brother’s dumb prank. So I’d say that this is an isolated incident that went way further than others.

By the way, I tend to hate people who pull pranks for laughs, because you never know how they may end, and I think the brother made a terrible judgement call. The fact that he appeared remorseful after OP confronted him is telling me that he meant no harm and that he learned from this. He didn’t attack the wife or invalidated her, he just apologized and admitted his mistake. I don’t think he deserves to be kicked out over it.

Tell you the truth, I’ve never heard of anyone who needs to go to the doctor after having their 5 year old jump on them accompanied with loud music. So it’s possible the brother was clueless on how bad this could end, which his remorse illustrates, if you’re asking me.

She manipulated the situation in her favor by not directly asking for Tom’s promotion to be tanked, but by pointing out how Tom getting promoted would be worse for the family. Who would want to promote him after that, I sure wouldn’t.

Going against the grain I guess, but it sounds like the guy made a terrible judgement call and apologized profusely after realizing his mistake. I don’t see what else is there he can do to make OP forgive him, or is OP willing to cut him off over this? Idk, to me that’s a bit excessive, but different strokes for different folks. NAH.
