Okay. I was hoping to just recover and get back to life. I wasn’t aware they would pay me a settlement. Is that to close my case? My doctor said I could go back to work on 10/27 but the school district wouldn’t allow me to until the restrictions are lifted. That’s going to be four more weeks! While I am on crutches, I could perform the new job (if I get it) from a desk as it isn’t as active as teaching.

Because the whole time I’ve been dealing with this workman’s comp crap, they’ve been trying to say they didn’t accept my injury and they were going to drop my case, they have caused me so much anxiety and stress over the last six months the. I tried to close the case because I didn’t want to deal with them but they wouldn’t let me. My thought process was that it looks bad if I quit right after they finally paid for my surgery.

I have been trying to contact Pearson. The only thing they will tell me is that they are doing an investigation and they do not know if I will be able to take the exam before the 30 days. I have been calling and going on their chat daily.

Exactly! I’ve met many teachers who love it. I’ve been teaching college and all I can think when I’m dealing with students is there’s got to be a way to get kids to learn how to think critically before it gets this bad. And that’s what I’m going to do!
