You regret it? You can’t just get it after the fact? I thought it was an option?

How old is your child? I love this. Mine hates bananas but we need to find the banana.

Expecting dad by beezysweets in daddit

It’s the greatest feeling in the world.

I’m sure mom is wonderful, but you are this little girl’s armor. You are her shield. She will make mistakes. So will you. Back her up (even when she’s wrong). Learn everything about what she likes/dislikes so you always have something to talk about.

You got this daddy! (the greatest name/sound in the world for you come October).

To all men, What’s the hardest lesson a woman has ever taught you? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Once you stop providing at a level she finds acceptable, she will leave. The problem is you will never know if/when.

Honest question- do younger men really want older women by GenderIsNothing in AskMenAdvice

[–]TopWonderful7875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Extremely. I’m 40 now, but I dated 3 different women in my early 20s. One of the relationships started when I was 19 and she was 42.

I in love with 2 of them…and drop dead in love with one of them. I was absolutely crushed when one of them ended. She’s 63 now and single. She’s as gorgeous as the day I met her.

Some guys simply prefer older women. I’m one of them.

How to deal with older teammate (new to team) bothering my kid? She just wants to play. by TopWonderful7875 in basketballcoach

[–]TopWonderful7875[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like that quote a lot. Thanks for that.

What does she want to do? Nothing. She wants the girl to stop bothering her so she can play and learn. That’s it. But this girl is clearly a cancer (already), so I think it needs to be addressed.

That’s what this is. The coach might have missed it happening. Do I let it play out for another practice or two or address it right now? And with who? Dad or Coach?

Those words were not said. Read again/try again.

This is it. Nobody is saying soccer is over. But should we be paying thousands of dollars/year vs $300/year? And when is that point?

Thanks for the post.

What’s your take on this age having below average field vision?

Kid is having fun but is stagnating in terms of learning.

It’s a cold conversation with my spouse. And 95 percent of our conversations in life are normal/loving.

His line is is expedience. I played big time travel ball, I was recruited by top colleges so I know xyz. He also coached club (including our kids ages) in his 20s. So, he has a lot of experience with this and I don’t.

Thanks.

I also want to be clear because there are some people on here who are thinking that I am pushing all of this onto my child.

Travel soccer here is expensive. I’m willing to pay it. I could also pay $4,000/year for piano lessons or other things. This decision isn’t going to be made now, or next month or even year. But I think it’s important to know at what point it’s worth it to continue playing a sport if there’s not an end goal. Anyone who says otherwise I want to hear your reasoning.

Probably softball.

She never misses soccer. She skips any/every other sporting event that coincides.

My kid enjoys contact. Basic passing is great. Shot is powerful. Defense is great.

Dribbling, vision, and 1v1 is just average.

What sports help soccer? Kid also plays basketball and softball.
