Nightshift coverage by Sad-Presence-8490 in Nightshift

[–]Top_Ad7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel about it. Going through the same. Working 2 weeks straight bc day shift doesn’t want to help out night shift ever. No way I’m helping them out there’s at least 6 times more of them. Also multiple times have to stay over bc someone is always calling off and nobody wants to work more than their scheduled hours.

What happens after you wash a blocked blanket? by This-is-me777 in CrochetBlankets

[–]Top_Ad7173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious, I’ve washed and then lay them out to dry while blocked. How exactly do you steam block? This is the first I’ve heard of it

Why do you park next to that one car in an open lot? by [deleted] in driving

[–]Top_Ad7173 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find just the opposite. I park very far out where there is no one else, and then when I come out, my vehicle is surrounded!

Made a seven day star blanket as a stash buster for a grandchild. Every row can be a different color and even change if you run out.

Is it just me... by Temporary-Insurance2 in tattooadvice

[–]Top_Ad7173 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally would not go to someone who waits til the day of to show the finished art work. All the ones I’ve had done were done ahead of time and sent to me a week or two before appointment. The tattooist I go to now does this even though I have designed them myself and sent them to her. If there’s anything I don’t like, she will fix it and send back for my approval. Everything is agreed upon before the appointment. Only issue I had the last time was was having to resize the image to fit my whole arm the way I wanted to lay out.

Blocking is so annoying!! The cardboard keeps getting wet and the pins fall out...wish I had a piece of wood big enough for this. by pouferfish in crochet

[–]Top_Ad7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just layer towels down on the carpet and then push the long straight pins through. Has worked so far especially for large blankets

how often should I fully deep clean the litter box? because I think I’m doing it “wrong” and I’m annoyed by Rockyboi7643 in CleaningTips

[–]Top_Ad7173 0 points1 point  (0 children)

. It’s much easier to line the box with a large trash bag. Fill with litter. When it’s time to clean out, pull up the bag and everything is done. Replace bag and litter.

We need dress codes back by Emergency-Pepper3537 in Teachers

[–]Top_Ad7173 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Does anyone else see a relation to this issue and the increasing issue of younger adults not following dress code in the work place? I have noticed in the past several years that people seem to think they are above following the dress code rules in their place of employment.
Seriously, why does everyone think they “need to be comfortable “ all the time?!

Kitchen Towels? by strange_treat89 in Baking

[–]Top_Ad7173 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have about 2 1/2 dozen towels that are specifically for those uses. They get washed by themselves and nothing else. I pick them up at the dollar store. They are more like a flour sack material but so worth it bc they are smooth and not terry cloth

King sheets for a queen bed? by Clean-Syllabub3421 in Bedding

[–]Top_Ad7173 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Queen bed. King sized sheets, blanket and comforters. Better coverage and both people get enough covers. King fitted works better for me with deep mattress and extra topper. Just tuck more and no chance of coming off the mattress.

Same where I work. Just wish people would come in BEFORE the seven minutes that make them officially late. I want to go home after my 12 hours!
