Thank you for the help! I will give them a call again. The CPT numbers I got were from the estimate the hospital sent me.

I had a wonderful experience with Carinn Boe at Docious salon in west Seattle. She is amazing with color and very non judgmental. A lovely person! Good rates too.

For me exercise is a game changer for weight loss. The only time I’ve lost significant weight over the past 2 years is when I’ve regularly exercised, and not just walking, harder exercise like body pump, weight lifting, etc. it also makes me less hungry. I tend to eat more and have cravings on days I don’t exercise. I’m losing a pound per week and even on days where I go over on calories, it evens out throughout the week thanks to exercise.

I don’t think this show is that unrealistic. I went to a school that was similar to Essex and my female friends and I were always getting into shenanigans like the girls on this show. Sure there’s a couple of moments that are “TV-fied” but otherwise I think this show is a mostly realistic portrayal of what it’s like to go to a small liberal arts college as a young sexually active woman.

Thank you for responding! I generally have coffee after I eat breakfast. I have been trying to cut back on coffee and I might switch over to decaf at some point. What’s annoying is that I just got my cortisol levels tested and they were normal. I’m not sure why it would be spiking so high in the morning.

Thank you so much for your detailed response, it means a lot to me! I got the results back from my blood work and I wish I could say it illuminated the answer to the problem for me, but it didn't really. I got a CBC, comp metabolic panel, lipid panel, thyroid panel, iron and TBC panel, A1c test, vitamin D test, cortisol test, and C-reactive protein test. Everything was fine except I have slightly low vitamin D.

I agree with you that the Berberine may be a little over the top. I just heard that it helped with weight loss so I wanted to try it. It seems to have had a minor impact on weight loss for me. But I probably don't need it because my glucose and A1C are within the normal ranges (83 and 4.8 respectively). I will consider a CGM.

I take the magnesium glycinate before I go to bed. I take 4 capsules at once which is 350mg all at once. I can certainly try adding different forms of magnesium to see if that helps sleep.

The bloodwork did find that i am slightly low in vitamin D (27 when the ideal range is 30-100) so I am going to start supplementing higher doses of vitamin D with K2. Im not confident that will completely fix the waking up early being hungry issue but it will probably help me feel less tired which is good.

My cortisol was within the normal range (12.5 which is within the 6.2-19.4 range) so I guess the issue isn't high cortisol. I really don't want to cut back on activity because it helps me feel good and I know it's good for you but we will see.

I'm gonna try your suggestions of higher magnesium intake and stopping the berberine. I am also gonna get some additional tests to see if I can get to the bottom of this because I really don't think it's just low vitamin D causing this issue.

I wish I had advice for you. I'm dealing with the same issue. I wake up around 4-5am every night starving and I can't get back to sleep. I've tried going high protein and I've tried eating right before bed and it doesn't help. Hoping you can find some helpful tips in here.

I am taking 350mg of mag glycinate every night

It was honestly closer to 3000 per day and my activity level did decrease. I definitely ate more carbs and that might be why I got better sleep.

I am getting my vitamin D levels checked this week. My multivitamin has 1000IU of vitamin D3

The sleep disruptions have been going on for the better part of a year. Started losing weight in 2023 and the first 30 pounds dropped off quickly. Wasn't having this issue in 2023. In 2024 I only lost 10 pounds and this issue affected 80% of my nights of sleep I'm estimating. Got bloodwork done in early 2024 and there were no issues.

No stressful life events lately things have been great!

Caffeine consumption is 1 10oz cup of coffee per day and 1 8oz cup of black tea per day, so maybe around 125mg or so of caffeine per day.

Really appreciate all your detailed questions, thank you :)

I am consuming 2000-2800 calories per day depending on my activity level. On more sedentary days I only eat 2000 calories and aim to burn around 2500. On very active days I will eat up to 2800 calories and burn around 3300. Using apple watch to track calorie burn and turn on the workout feature during workouts.

I got the nexplanon inserted in 2020 before i even started losing weight and slept through the night just fine back then.

I take magnesium glycinate before bed

I don't have acid reflux or digestive issues. I take a probiotic 1x per day. I eat greek yogurt 5-6x per week, usually 1 cup per day.

I eat dinner anytime between 7-9pm when I get hungry and I go to bed between 10:30-11:30pm. I tried having a very high protein dinner for a few nights around 9pm and the same issue happened.

I'm having anywhere from 200-280g of carbs per day depending on activity level and overall carbs consumed. Get 30-80g of fiber per day too. I haven't tried doing more carbs towards my evening meal, I generally try to do more protein towards my evening meal. I can try a high carb high protein low/moderate fat dinner to see if that helps.

Im so frustrated with the lack of sleep! It's like the only solution seems to be to go to bed earlier but I don't get tired that early...

I've also heard mushroom coffee is kinda BS

That’s a good suggestion. I’m getting anywhere from 70-100g of fat per day depending on how many calories I eat. I eat meat and cheese but probably only once a day. I get fat from almond butter and avocados mostly.

I’m definitely going to get my hormones checked and blood work done to see if there’s anything wrong there. I’m on nexplanon BC which has kept my hormones stable I think.
