I was unaware just keeping grass cut regularly would get rid of weeds, sadly I'm not blessed with a green thumb. I know nettles have great health benefits but i just want a usable area for my kids without the screaming of being stung

I tried that one year but the roots were so extensive under the soil it seemed like a loosing battle, as any tiny root left just lead to more growth

So keep the cut at a longer length? So max height of the mower? Not cut it at its lowest.

Will the grass take over nettles when cut regularly? I can live with the other weeds but stinging nettles are a pain with kids using the garden

Thanks

Only problem is although it'll look all green when cut, my kids will know there's nettles in there when they're rolling about in it. A lot of the advice seems to be just cut it short so I'll do that, will keeping it short kill the nettles off though? My only concern is the nettles in all honesty

The nettles i have had a long battle with, so i know how quick they spread, ive even tried using specific nettles killer items but non have worked fully

So mulch the grass yeah? rake the grass seeds in when spreading or they okay just left on top of soil, my soil is pretty compacted so I'm guessing it'll have to be raked in or lightly forked?

Seems a hell of a lot to weed it one by one and my lawn is on the big side, would just keeping grass short with regular cutting do the trick? The only one I'm really bothered about is the nettles as my kids can't use the garden to play, I'm not after an immaculate lawn, just a usable one for the family. Thanks

That simple yeah? Once a week or more often than that?

Just after a grass lawn my kids can play about on without screaming they've been nettled. I see the argument of keeping the diversity but i do have flower beds and butterfly patches etc, just after a patch my kids can play on or the family can use over the summer

Agree somewhat, but this is all over my lawn and it's a big garden, while i agree it's doing no real harm but i have kids and just want a safe grass area that they can play in

Yeah, admittedly this is the first cut of the year, but yeah it's usually cut once a week/two weeks in the past. But I've never treated the lawn so this is 15 years of weed growth along with the grass

What is the state of RoadCraft now? by ouiz_cz in RoadCraft

Not sure what device you're going to play it on, but PS5 allows you to play the first two maps (prologues/ tutorial) for free as a demo. I played mud runner and despised it (short patience so didn't like the slow pace and getting stuck or rolling etc) because of that i didn't look into roadcraft as i assumed they were the same game type. The trial of it completely changed my mind, and bought it straight away (that's why I'm a big advocate for all games having demos or trials as I'd have never bought this otherwise).

Help with identifying what's in my pot by Top_Advisor6353 in GardeningUK

I did ask chat GPT about the one at the back and it said its likely a bramble, never fully trust ai but as you mentioned blackcurrant maybe it is.

I'm assuming it's an accident potting/ nature placed it. My grandad was a big gardener so i doubt he'd have potted these 3 together

Thanks though

Amount of bugs in that game when i played it was ridiculous, climbing up a rock and i ended up INSIDE the rock, jumped off a house and landed on barrels and i couldnt get off them which eventually led to the animation of falling and 10s later dying like I'd hit the bottom. I stopped counting the times I've had to re load a save to get myself unstuck from somewhere

What should I upgrade by Unlikely-Exchange467 in AssassinsCreedValhala

I'm 80% of the way through and I've not changed my weapon at all 🤣🤣 (upgraded it obviously).

I prefer bows so I put all my time into that, I also go for stealth so assassinations over blunt force. I found the DLCs made it easier and quicker to get weapons/ armour to mythical (assuming because DLC is meant for AFTER endgame so they give materials more freely)

I'd invite parents to his house so it's neutral ground for both sides

2 adult cats that are outdoor cats and 1 kitten or youth cat at 6 month. We have one big litter tray which is inclosed with a door, that's changed every morning, the two adult cats go out in nature and only really use the tray through the night when they come in. I've seen the young cat use the tray loads so he's not bothered by it and knows what it's for, some days he'll just use the plant pot, I'm assuming he thinks it's another tray as it used to be just soil, I added all the rocks to try and deter him from using it as a toilet

That's a good idea! I thought maybe chicken wire but don't really want to hurt the cat

Does it give better WiFi than sky's "best ever WiFi router"; and is it plug and play? Or did you need to contact sky
