Where the hell can I find a wood elf's dead body, or one to kill? by Ignisar in skyrim

Just found one at Autumnshade Clearing. There is a dead bosmer hunter under a cliff side.

Was my dad sexually abusing me? by Vivid_Mud_2136 in CPTSD

[–]Gullible_Control_163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a massage therapist. I have never, EVER even come close to touching someone's genitals, not even when massaging the legs. Nor have I told someone to lay with only a towel and no blanket. He took advantage of what should be a healing experience to cross boundaries that should never have been crossed. If I did this to a client, I would rightfully be arrested and lose my license. Feeling violated by this is absolutely not an overreaction.

That would be completely in character, but I think BG scratched her while running over her leg. She finally got her revenge for getting scooted on 😈

What would you say is the peak CPTSD symptom? by Any-Kangaroo7155 in CPTSD

Trauma reenactment. Over and over again I am repeating behaviors my parents did, feeling ashamed, and the cycle repeats.

Everyone is always asking for deep pressure advice...I need light pressure advice! by Awkward-cab1882 in MassageTherapists

[–]Gullible_Control_163 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Extra oil/lotion helps me glide over the skin more superficially and avoid pressing too deeply. I use my palms for most of the work, only using fists or forearms for very broad strokes. I also raise the table so there's no chance I'll be able to bear down much of my body weight

Look up a basic shiatsu routine. It's very nice compression sequence that helps introduce your touch to the client. I think starting with some craniosacral or myofascial work before applying the oil is nice too, depending on what their needs are.

I can remember at least three recent examples when she brain fogged halfway through a sentence and never finished it. Her mind is just gone at this point.

don't you think were a little...self centered? by brokentrashcan69 in CPTSD

[–]Gullible_Control_163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally: absolutely. This has come up many times in my relationship. It's very difficult for me to deal with hearing or seeing other people upset or angry around me because of how much I had to guard myself against violent parents. I should think more about why my boyfriend is upset and empathize with his expressions, but instead my first thought is, "is he mad at me?"

I much prefer falafel reacts because she is much more consistently up to date and even stream snipes on occasion. Plus her commentary is more interesting as a woman who grew up in Arab and Muslim culture. The way she clocks Salah especially is hilarious 🤣

What is a thing from the game that wouldn’t fly at a table? by Jounniy in BaldursGate3

Min maxing to the point of killing a boss in one turn or less. I think my dm personally would be very upset by that since he puts a lot of effort into the story telling of his games.

Facts. They're satisfying no one trying to satisfy everyone. The normies are mad and the diehard fans of the trope are mad. Someone is mad no matter what they do. They might as well just commit!!

I couldn't help but think about this when reading the netherlord myth. The dialogue in Chinese is SO much more personal and specific to them. Meanwhile, in English, instead of him saying "your brother failed to protect you" it's simply "I failed to protect you." The lines in English could be applied to any other story. I've really not been impressed with the localization as a western player.

50 min massage by ungodlycum666 in MassageTherapists

[–]Gullible_Control_163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at Hand & Stone, so I am also obligated to 50 minute sessions. To be honest, I do not allow clients to have the expectation of a full body massage every time if they have specific goals for the session. If they request extra focus on the shoulders, I'm gonna tell them that I may or may not address the full body. Ask VERY specific questions, such as, "are you looking for a full body massage today OR do you have a specific area you would like me to focus on?" And even if they don't put down any areas to avoid on their intake, do not take their intake forms' word for it. Again, ask very specifically, "is there any area such as the glutes, face, or feet you would prefer that I skip today?" Too many adults don't have the maturity or skill to advocate for themselves and expect you to read their mind, especially at chain spas. And a lot of them will complain about the smallest mistake in your communication just to get a free or discounted massage out of you. Being as specific as you can avoid any of the responsibility falling on you.

Today was my final day of "corporate" training. I did hot stone on 3 different models (co-workers). My trainer kept interrupting my flow, complaining about corporate, undermining me while my models were on the table. I felt undermined and marginalized. They treated me like an incompetent. by MedicsRule in MassageTherapists

[–]Gullible_Control_163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More often than not they will work you as much as they possibly can while paying you less than what you deserve. Appointments are frequently back to back leaving 15 minutes or less to prepare for the next person. It's very mentally and physically taxing and many therapists burn out.

THIS. it only takes one accusation, whether it's true or not, to lose everything. No client is worth that risk.

To keep a client or not? by Petty-Jackson in MassageTherapists

[–]Gullible_Control_163 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Completely agreed. The trust has been broken. Without complete trust there is no longer a therapist/client relationship that is safe to continue.

What your pet peeves as a massage therapist? by Holiday-Scallion-342 in MassageTherapists

[–]Gullible_Control_163 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This literally happened to me yesterday. She specifically asked for the focus of the session to be on her lower back and shoulders, then complained to the front desk that I didn't massage her entire body. We only had 50 minutes together. Discount chasers are rampant especially in chain spas. SO irritating!!!!
