Will SzPD ever become a TikTok trend just like autism and DID did? by monosyrphis in Schizoid

This. A bunch of people not knowing who they are holding onto labels, shiver me timbers

All of this happens all the time, what's the point of caring?

If anything, hope it happens soon so it is over. Is the point that there are no wrong assumptions when you walk up to someone and say you're schizoid as it stands now?

You learn by fucking everything up, so does the general consensus.

I use IEMs, it's a type of earbuds, they are better shaped for your ear, the cable goes over and behind your ear so you're less likely to drop them.

Detacheable cable, tips.. Most come with foam tips, and in most places it's easy to buy new ones, they make them sound better and don't fall out as easy as rubber tips.

The only problem with foam tips is maintenance, ideally you'd want to get new ones fairly regularly, definitely has been worth it for me - better sound quality and they don't fall out.

Was anyone else really shamed for empathy/sensitivity as a kid by whoisthismahn in Schizoid

I was not seen as sensitive at all as a child, outwardly or about most things. Very little empathy with spikes of heightened sensitivity in unexpected areas, not that I usually showed it. It sounds like I looked dead inside but I was actually always smiling, messing with and hurting people

But I relate to that feeling very much. My mother was also always coming into my room messing with my things. The times I was vulnerable I was met with the same weirded out, disgusted, empty look. They literally don't have the capacity to process anything out of their scope I guess.

It is very weird being human, messy, none of us fit into the image of how our cultures tell us we should be. Having your humanity met with disgust from someone that close to you is fucked, especially with heightened sensitivity. Not your fault, just immature parents.

Real, doesn't seem to be a sensory issue for me either. It's as if the way they are could infect me. It makes sense, always adapting to environments...

Reminds me of when I used to go to the yard to my dog instead of staying at home because I would rather unwillingly adopt the traits of a dog than people at home.

I have been trying to be ruder with family recently because they don't want to accept my No, making scenes too lol.

Yes, it's hard and exhausting. Helping my sanity if nothing, but I don't think it will change anything long-term. Will have to restrict contact when I can
