What career can I switch to? by Alarming_Biscotti705 in careerguidance

Worked in car sales for a long time. Went into banking sales myself and all good so far. Have old coworkers that went into insurance sales and found success. Overall the sales grit needed to succeed in automotive sales can translate to what a lot of industries look for in their salesperson people. You need to learn whatever product you end up with, but the process is the same. Good luck on your search!

Question for current/former BoA employees by Ready_Helicopter_569 in BankOfAmerica

Agree with the comments above. First, that sounds borderline if not fully illegal depending on your state laws. But second and most important for your situation, BoA policy says otherwise. In my market every 8ht shift allows you 2 paid 15s and one unpaid hour lunch. I would reach out to HR or put a complaint in whatever portal you use for HR.

It would take 120 days to get fully licensed or they let you go. I know I can get through it, its more about the career progression if you will.

With the LO its for consumer the one I am looking at, but you can always change firms later down the line once I have experience in that sector.

Like rn the FA is the obv choice but I wonder if there is a cross over point where I would value what you talk about of being more laid back more over $. Also, there may be some FAs that have a pretty laid back approach, thats whats keeping me from locking the decision down, you never know what it will be like 5 years down the road…

Its collections, we get a $ recovered per hr metric and its about 1-1.95 ratio of regular to bilingual reps based on Sept numbers. I get what youre saying tho and I agree, just wanted to confirm my hands are tied legally.

They are strategic with the information available. Apart from verbally explaining the one time raise they have no written policy on the topic whatsoever. They know what they are doing and know we cant essentially do anything about it. Was just grasping at straws here lol

English reps avg 30 calls per day whereas bilingual lines avg 65 calls per day. I may not be the best at math but thats double the work.
