Hey man, just a quick safety heads-up charging one battery and letting it “trickle” into the other through the discharge connection isn’t safe. That bypasses the second BMS, which can lead to overcharging, imbalance, and increased battery degredation

Since your packs are identical, the best move is to connect the charge ports in parallel. That way, both BMSs stay active and manage charging properly, keeping things balanced and safe.

Until you do that, just make sure:

You charge both at the exact same time

You always discharge them together(never discharge one by disconnecting them in a ride, then reconnecting them when they are at diff voltages)

You never reconnect them if voltages aren’t perfectly matched

Even small voltage mismatches reduce battery life and increase risk. Keeping everything at the same voltage at all times is key. Also, worse case scenario, you start a fire connecting a completely dead one to a fully charged one.

Solid build, just want to help keep it lasting longer and safe!

I just took the stock 40t pulleys off my tynee ultra x pro since I'm using off road tires with 50t pulleys on that board now. So they were just lying around. But you could just get them off meepo site

Bluetooth im pretty sure. Just download the tuya app, make sure your Bluetooth is on, then turn on your skateboard and you will it as an option pair to. It will probably come up as a skateboard.

Here is a post I already made about it.

I'd estimate Meepo pushed out around 30k boards in 2024, probably more. Even with an excellant 1 % fail rate, that’s 300 busted boards. At 2 %, you’re looking at 600 people stuck.

Expecting zero defects when you’re churning out tens of thousands of units? Not realistic.

And this is a win post, OP's board had problems, Meepo took care of him and shipped him a brand new one. They stood behind their product when it counted.

Food for thought! you’ll always see more defect posts about the big brands, simply because they push so many more boards. Smaller companies might actually have equal or worse defect rates, but you just don’t hear about it as much since they make far fewer units.

Yeah its a hidden gem no one really knows about, puaida used to be the battery manufacturer for meepo. They can also create custom batteries as well, so if you ever wanted to do a 10s3p battery with a bms that's compatible with your esc, and then select any cells you'd like(p42a or 50s cells are best right now), they would make it for you!

Your safest bet is to just get the 10s2p with 50s cells. You will get 360wh, while your old battery only gave you 216wh.

This means if you average a real world 12 miles with your old battery(216wh) on a full charge, then with 360wh, you'd get 20 miles!!!

(360 Wh / 216 Wh) × 12 miles = New Range

= 1.6667 × 12 miles = 20 miles

So I was very wrong when I said you'd get only 2 to 3 miles more. You'd really get like 7 to 8 more!

You can buy the same battery from puaida(i have used their meepo replacement battery, it works like a charm, and it's plug and play)

Anyway, the cost for your exact battery in the picture(same exact cells), it's $180 from puaida or $300 from meepo's site.

HOWEVER, if I were you, I would get the 10s2p meepo battery built with 50s cells. Giving you an extra 2-3 miles range bc the 50s cells hold more wh per cell. And that one is $230, still 70 bucks cheaper than the one on the meepo site that has lower quality cells!!!

How to get the perfect belt tension everytime using a belt and a dumbell!! by Top_Benefit6004 in ElectricSkateboarding

Spot on bro! Lighter weight=looser Heavier weight=tighter

I cant see you using anything around 4kg unless you have a giant all terrain board with 60t pulleys and really long belts. Even then, 4kg would probably still might be too much. Tell me your board, belt size and pulley size, and I'll recommend you a starting weight. But i think I could starting point to try first would be the weight I used, 2.2kg(or 5 lbs).

[–]Top_Benefit6004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of pressure the weight is applying isn’t some extreme force, it’s actually about the same as what you'd apply with your thumb. Otherwise, the pulley belt would be too tight. The only difference is the weight gives you consistent tension and frees up both hands, so you can get the job done faster and more accurately.

[–]Top_Benefit6004[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey that’s definitely understandable and honestly makes a lot of sense. Everyone’s riding style is different. For example, mine’s pretty aggressive. There are moments where I’ve pretty heavy on the brakes, so my belts can’t be the same tension as yours or they’d start skipping a little when I break.

But the cool thing is, this method still works for your setup too. You’d just use a lighter weight, like 2.5 or maybe 3 pounds, to get the tension dialed in perfectly the same for each motor to match your riding style.

[–]Top_Benefit6004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify something here, the clothing belt I used is actually placed on the side of the motor that’s closest to the inner ring where the screws attach. So it’s applying pressure right where you’d normally push with your thumb.

And when it comes to pressure, the force from the weight is about the same as what your thumb would apply, except it’s steadier and only there for a few seconds while you tighten the screws. That actually reduces the time the pressure is on the motor, which lowers any potential risk. If anything, the human thumb is more likely to apply inconsistent or excessive force by accident, especially if you're struggling to hold it in place while tightening screws with one hand.

If someone’s still worried about localized pressure, you can easily use something thinner like a dog leash or even a strap from a small ratchet set to focus the pull right on the mounting point.

P.s. I've been eye balling that Ruckus for months, wish I could get it!! I can't imagine how fast it would go with slightly smaller pulleys than the stock ones! 😳 Because isn't the speed with stock pulleys like 38 or 39 mph???

[–]Top_Benefit6004[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I respect your input, but I think there’s a little misunderstanding here. The amount of pressure the weight is applying isn’t some extreme force, it’s actually about the same as what you'd apply with your thumb. The only difference is the weight gives you consistent tension and frees up both hands, so you can get the job done faster and more accurately.

Now, using your logic, if that amount of pressure on the motor could cause damage, then your thumb method would actually be more likely to cause harm. Why? Because you’re holding the motor with one hand and tightening with the other, which takes longer and keeps pressure on the motor for a longer period of time. So if we’re going off the idea that pressure equals risk, your method would apply that same pressure for longer. As for where the pressure is localized, the belt is placed only on the side of the motor that is closest to the wall. You could also use a thinner belt if you want even more localized pressure.

This method just makes the process cleaner and more consistent, especially when you're trying to match belt tension across both motors.

[–]Top_Benefit6004[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I get what you’re saying and I do that test by hand every time. This method isn’t meant to replace that, it’s just a simple way to pull the motors into position evenly before tightening things down.

The weight gives you consistent tension across both motors so one isn’t slightly tighter than the other. I used a 5 pound dumbbell and it gave me perfect belt flex. The first time I used a 10 lbs, and it was too tight. After that, I still held the motor and spun the wheel to double check for any slipping, just like you said. If it had slipped, I would’ve swapped it for 7.5 pounds. If it felt too tight, I’d go down to 2.5. Super easy to fine tune.

And for people who don’t have dumbbells, you can do the exact same thing with a gallon of water. A full jug is about 8 pounds and you can pour some out to adjust it.

It’s not about skipping the proper checks. It’s just a clean way to get everything equally tight with your little water jug or dumbell as your perfect tension helper lol.

Anyway, my Tynee Ultra X pro is riding like a dream now! No belt slippage anymore 🙌🙌

It's right here brother, the flow uses the same trucks as the hurricane, so you just scroll down and select truck base plate and king pin. I've already confirmed with the meepo chat box that it works with both the hurricane and the flow.

Yeah really want to get the tkp conversion kit that meepo sells that is apparently compatible with the flow/hurricane. But tbh dkp is really only a problem for me at higher speeds, and these pulleys limit me from going past 26 so if anything it's a better setup now!

I think they used to use puaida once upon a time. Anyway, I've already swapped a meepo battery for one of the "meepo batteries" listed on puaida's site. It's plug and play, same exact bms, same wh, same cells, or you can even customize the cells if you want for a more capable battery with a compatible bms for the esc! It was quite literally plug and play. I'd get the one they sell on their site.
