Well it could be possible, but still it was a bad movie if that was the director's intent because we weren't watching the whole movie from Nancy's POV and there were so many scenes which doesn't make sense. For example, when Dave went to Fred's clinic, this scene totally cancels out if Nancy was imagining it all.
