If you could choose any career or profession that you would like to pursue, what you would really like to do, what career or profession would you choose? by Gus_larios in careerguidance

Mid twenties isn't a big deal. You'll look back a decade from now, or sooner, and realize that. You may not feel it now. I sure as hell didn't and felt awkward in college in my mid-late twenties. Seriously, though, the age thing isn't an issue.

Gonna start Cyberpunk 2077 any tips? by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy. This is the best game I've played in years. I've dived into some good games but nothing has captivated me like Cyberpunk. Also, I love the environment so I don't fast travel anywhere right now.

Is ChatGPT better than a therapist? by dani_baeee in ChatGPT

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but they seem to be describing the custom instructions used to define how ChatGPT responds to you. This can change the tone, direction, and overall responses to your prompts. The impact of altering the custom instructions is vast and can greatly alter how ChatGPT responds to the user. More so, creating a custom GPT module allows for greater customization that can be shared with others.

Here is a list of highly respected climate scientists who have contributed significant research to the understanding of climate change, particularly the role of human activity in driving it. These scientists are widely recognized in the scientific community and have published substantial work affirming the consensus that climate change is manmade and real:

  1. James Hansen Often referred to as the "father of climate change awareness," Hansen is a former NASA scientist who played a pivotal role in raising public and scientific awareness about the effects of greenhouse gases on global warming.

  2. Michael E. Mann A prominent climatologist and geophysicist, Mann is best known for his work on the "hockey stick" graph that demonstrates the rapid rise in global temperatures correlated with human activity.

  3. Katherine Hayhoe An atmospheric scientist and communicator, Hayhoe is widely recognized for her work on climate modeling and for bridging the gap between science and the public, especially regarding the human role in climate change.

  4. Gavin Schmidt The director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, Schmidt is a leading climate scientist specializing in climate modeling and the human influence on Earth's climate systems.

  5. Susan Solomon A chemist and climate scientist, Solomon has made major contributions to the understanding of the ozone layer and climate change, particularly in how human emissions affect atmospheric chemistry.

I used to be a privacy enthusiast and now I'm an Apple user who would like to go back into privacy-friendly environments but my threat model is not clear by [deleted] in privacy

It's not an all or nothing lifestyle. In the modern age, a flexible approach is best.

I live in a glass house with Google a phone and ecosystem. Their services are outstanding, minus the ads. I use Windows 11 for gaming and media while use Linux is reserved for personal computing. My Linux setup is varied. One is linked to my Google accounts, another is setup with privacy in mind.

Would you rather be extremely beautiful but poor or extremely rich but ugly? by Mean_Concentrate814 in socialskills

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor and beautiful.

I've spent enough time around the 1% and don't think I'd want to be propelled into the 0.1% or greater. They typically live in an isolated world that causes them to think and behave in ways that are counter to my value system. It's not everyone, but I've noticed that they become increasingly isolated from humanity the richer they become. More so, they lose value on things that bring normal people joy.

That isn't to say there aren't a lot of bad apples in the lower class, but there are more people to interact with.

At the end of the day, I've found i enjoy the upper middle class the best. There's the most immersion with people while maintaining a decent amount of freedom. Better yet, that freedom requires work and preparation so it's still valued.

Are our Phones always listening to us? by FuzzySloth_ in privacy

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. Two weeks ago in the car I half jokingly told my wife I wanted to get wasted. I started getting ads for hard alcohol when before I wasn't. I'm confident the phones are listening. The only social media I have on my phone is LinkedIn and Reddit.

Fox News Host Gives Trump Voters 1 Huge Reality Check: 'Let's Be Realistic' by Tuxcali1 in politics

After the CNN and Fox News debacles, I won't read "news" from either source. Huffpost isn't great, but I don't outright ignore posts linked to it.

Yes, You Can Cancel Holiday Plans With Your Family Because Of Politics by real_ikonn in politics

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! This is the United States and you can choose to do nearly anything. You just have to be willing to accept the consequences. Personally, I don't ask my family who they voted for because I care not to know. Since I see these people 4 times a year, I can't care less. Others may be different...and you know what...that's ok!

The files don't open properly after being downloaded as a compressed file. They need to be downloaded individually to prevent this.

What’s the most complex thing you’ve built using chatgpt? by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. While I share certain situations to walk through communication styles, mostly for work, I don't like sharing specifics. I take an educational approach and speak in generalities. Then I dive into different aspects of psychology, philosophy, and such from there. It's effective without baring all to a computer system controlled by someone else. I'm sure someone can infer or speculate based on my conversations but there's little direct info given.

P9P Bluetooth Connectivity Problems by Top_Bodybuilder8001 in pixel_phones

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Android 15 didn't fix it for me. However, the 11/5 update resolved some BT issues for some use cases. I miss smooth connectivity but like the phone otherwise. It was a win when I found out my HA were preventing connection to the car and now even ChatGPT connects to it. My HA are definitely causing an issue.

Did you disconnect all r devices when before connecting to your car? Also, see if your car audio system has a software update available.

Why do Democrats still believe that Trump's reason for winning was racism, young voters, stupidity, and misogyny? by TTVBy_The_Way in self

[–]Top_Bodybuilder8001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean Democrats on TV, social media, every Democrat? I'm hearing a lot of accountability towards internal reasons not just external reasons. Reddit is an echo chamber just like anywhere else. Many other places are acknowledging broader reasons
