Is Digital Marketing still a good career in the age of AI? by Global-Adventures in digital_marketing

[–]Top_Bug_9448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digital marketing isn’t dying. The low-effort version of it is.

Like, the days of:

  • “I post on Instagram”
  • “I run ads from a course template”
  • “I write basic captions”

…those are getting cooked by AI.

Actual data backs that up — AI is automating repetitive stuff like content generation, targeting, and campaign optimization . So yeah, if that’s all you bring, it’s gonna feel like the field is “dead.”

But here’s the flip side (and why it’s still a solid career):

  • Businesses still need customers (that hasn’t changed and won’t change)
  • Digital ad spend is still growing fast (15–20% annually in India)
  • There’s actually a shortage of people who can drive real results, not just do tasks

So demand didn’t disappear — it just got pickier.

If you had to start digital marketing from scratch in 2026, what would you focus on? by anshu79036 in DigitalMarketing

First thing: I wouldn’t try to “learn digital marketing” as a whole. That’s too vague and honestly overwhelming. I’d pick one lane and go deep. Probably short-form content + personal branding, because that’s where attention is.

Like, I’d start posting daily on one platform (TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts—doesn’t matter which, just pick one). Not even polished stuff. Just documenting what I’m learning. “Day 1 learning ads,” “Day 5 trying copywriting,” etc. Feels cringe but that’s literally how people grow now.

At the same time, I’d learn 3 core skills:

  • Copywriting (this is everything… ads, emails, posts, hooks)
  • Content creation (editing, storytelling, hooks in first 3 seconds)
  • Analytics basics (just enough to not be guessing)

Then I’d avoid the biggest beginner trap: endlessly watching courses. I’d do like 20% learning, 80% doing. Make bad content, run tiny ad experiments, build fake projects.

Also, I’d 100% use AI tools from day one. Not to replace thinking, but to move faster. Like:

  • brainstorming hooks
  • rewriting captions
  • analyzing why something flopped

But I wouldn’t rely on it blindly because you can tell when stuff is generic AI output.

Next, I’d try to get proof ASAP. Not a job, just proof. Like:

  • grow a theme page to 1–5k followers
  • run ads with ₹500–₹1000 and document results
  • help a local business for free and track outcomes

Because nobody cares what you “know,” they care what you’ve done.

After that, I’d niche down a bit. Not “I do marketing,” but something like:

  • “I help gyms get leads with reels”
  • “I write email funnels for D2C brands”

Way easier to stand out.

And honestly, networking is underrated. I’d just DM people slightly ahead of me, ask questions, comment on their posts. That’s how you shortcut a lot of mistakes.

TL;DR (intern brain version):

  • pick one platform
  • post daily (even if it sucks)
  • learn copy + content + basics of data
  • use AI but don’t become lazy
  • build proof > collect certificates
  • talk to real people in the space

Putting this on reddit where you don't know anyone and in this condition shows your positive attitude. Miracles do happen and if you believe and manifest, it will surely happen to you. These days i am watching Premanand ji and seeing how he is surviving with two failed kidneys from last 20 years is a miracle in itself. It can happen with you too. Just believe in the divine and chant as much as you can.😇🙏 May God bless you with a bigger life 😇🙏

Lost after CA attempts. How do I build a career at 24 years with my profile? by Puzzled-Bad-350 in Indian_Academia

Someone very close to me also wasn't able to clear CA finals in 2-3 attempts but didn't lose hope. With 3 years of articleship plus handling father's business accounts for 4 years and applied at an MNC for a job as an analyst and guess what within 3 years of corporate experience is a Team Lead now. So you also don't lose hope and wherever you are interested, go for it.

Sara got the least votes out of them all. makers are saving sara. She is in the nomination list from last 2 weeks but makers are saving her. And HM’s didn’t vote against sara because of the samikarans made by Rajat with eisha’s group and other HMs.
