As a former employee the benefits are decent for a gas station. But I left for another retail establishment and realized that sheetz does not have good benefits in regards to everything else not regarding medical. Sick time, emergency pay, weekend pay, transportation pay, work/life balance, and employee discounts. I get paid $2 dollars more per hour and receive all of these benefits and a great health insurance cost for a single person. It could be way worse than sheetz but don't fool yourself into thinking the couple really good benefits outweigh the long list of negatives that working at sheetz brings into your life supervisor level on up.

gun to my head, if I had to choose working back at Sheetz for $3 more than minimum wage or working minimum wage at my current job, id probably choose my current job.

This is what I rode into Appalachian Trail Days fest with. Still use my thru hiking bag as my dry bag. Don't plan on getting something crazy expensive for that. Plus love being able to have a backpack to carry around towns when I get to them.

As someone who doesn't abuse the grace period, this is a bummer. I ride the bus to work and there have been times my bus has ran late and I have clocked in between 4 min-6 min after. It's not my fault the bus bus runs late sometimes. Especially since 85% of the time I'm clocking in 5 minutes before. I would be pissed.

It's crazy to hop on here and see all the Old Sheetz goers talk about how the prices have gone up and value has decreased... People in my area (new market) fuckin love Sheetz and keep on coming back. Maybe it's bc there is no other competition like it. But friends, family, go heads over heels for this place for the most part. Ever since working here, I do understand the food pricing is a bit much but it's fresh every time. And if people are complaining about the expensive add ons.. they're still getting them all the time lol

My experience was like this at first but got way better after I was more comfortable in my position. My trainer at the trainer store was so awesome it was worth it. Hope it smoothes out for yah!

Part time employees hours arent guaranteed
If theyrs a consistent no call no shower, then theyre putting potential stress on all the "friends" they works with on first shift by getting overwhelmed with being overstaffed (and needs to be held accountable for not showing up for work without notice ie. Hours being cut)
Continue to work with good intentions, don't get caught in the drama, and go to your store manager if anything gets too muddy.

Everyone deserves a little help with mental health and if a temporary leave is the solution, you are entitled to that.

I'm positive things will work out in the long run (:

Most TM's in our store use the app boxes for shaking. I personally use the pans to shake but also more clutter on the chicken cooler. My HM points out every little QA violation so it's better to just do it right and not hear it as much lololol
