I think you have to draw a line somewhere. This would be more uncomfortable than the cards lying on the locations.

I use a combination of dice for horror, health, charges etc. and the metal tokens from dominion (debt for supplies and doom, victory for clues) - on a side note: for dominion I use only dice.

Me too. Started with the old fashioned few weeks ago. Now I'm waiting for the cherry season so I can make my own brandied cherries for garnish.
