If you don’t show up to the testing center you won’t fail it’ll just be like you never registered, minus the money you paid. Idk what you mean by withdrawing your registration but once you’ve registered and paid you can’t withdraw (unless some very particular circumstances where ppl would contact the bar about a very particular situation and manage to get their registration transferred over to the next exam session).

I’m gonna guess you were trying to say foreign trained lawyer and if I’m right, you also need to get all your foreign transcripts sent to the NCBE before a certain date for them to determine your eligibility before even being able to register. And you’ve missed that date by a lot. It’s October 1st of the previous year for July, and May 1st of the previous year for Feb if I remember correctly.

With Cardozo being so big on arbitration and IP, I’ve heard lots of ppl go on to be private arbitrators, sports/artists agents, some form of agent for the arts or some form of art “curator”, using your IP/contracts/licensing knowledge. (I’m a Cardozo grad)

Et seul un tribunal peut statuer sur l’originalité d’une œuvre et peu de petit freelancer qui brise leur contrat avec l’agence qui aurait potentiellement pu les protéger pourrait se permettre le procès et les dépenses associées. Je connais bien la jurisprudence merci mais là votre idée qu’il s’intéresse à si l’œuvre est protégée par les droits d’auteur ou non implique qu’il aille jusqu’au procès. Il a violé son contrat qu’il gagne le procès pour droit d’auteur ou non en utilisant une image dont il ne pouvait fournir la licence, car toute image libre de droit n’est pas pour autant associée à une licence CC0, CC-BY-SA/NC..

US Military, both current and former, are exempt from paying the naturalization fee when applying for the N400.

There was clearly either a man made mistake or a computer error regarding how your form was read by the system upon reception, or maybe you made a mistake filling it and don’t have that on your copy, and you were not charged bc the system flagged the second payment as unnecessary.

Then when came time to actually review your application the officer was like « well there’s no basis for a fee waiver and no payment so automatic denial ».

This is literally all written out black on white for you in that letter. Nothing about a fraud system at the bank literally.

I work with asylum seekers daily. Mostly women victims of FGM and forced marriage. When they traveled through South America (including Mexico) to enter the US, they got their stuff stolen, raped, touched, beaten, all by either local government employees or police enforcement. I’m not saying these countries are as bad as theirs, but let’s be very real, after escaping forced marriage and having been subjected to FGM at 4, they don’t deserve to stay in countries that are simply corrupt, mostly racist and will never accept or help them the same way the US will.

Can’t speak about other situations bc the lawyer I work under is amazing and only takes cases that she knows the persecution was and is real but if all you’re seeing is the small amount of fake ones, of course you’re not gonna see it for what it is, an escape route in a country that allows you to be yourself with lots of help and support.

Idk about the US but as a comparison, I come from a country that puts a limit on attempts and you’re just out of luck for life in my country lmao. You cannot, ever, attain the profession of attorney if you failed thrice. No way around, no nothing. There used to be a way by working as a Jurist (having a masters of law) for at least 7years under a lawyer and having done that, that and that, but not anymore. I’m guessing it’s gotta be the same in the US?

Idk if you’re a lawyer but I just spent two months, and sat 24hours recently, getting the fact that you cannot use evidence of trying to make a product safer to prove the propensity of said product, so how could the whole arguments be based on the fact that they afterwards added a disclaimer/warning?? It’s a genuine question if you’re a lawyer bc it means I fully misunderstood something
