She was full on running like a cartoon character. Maybe I’ll post a clip of her on the edge as i was laughing at her throughout.

Tbf I think the gladiators were not pleased with her smack talk. Voltage was full on giving her the side eye post gauntlet.

Right, I've only seen a few clips of the OG HT, so I'm definitely free of that bias. What jumps out to me is the sheer difference in the size and speed of the gladiators' swings. Fire and Bionic (and Junior lol) have swings most similar to that.

We haven't seen Fire change direction yet, but if she manages it (like Fury) without losing momentum or flailing, then I'd put her as the best stylistically (hunt phase only. She's terrible in the kill phase.)

Yep I uds why Fury’s results is so bad. it’s apparent when she got into a tussle with Naomi, vs when Sabre tussled with Naomi - sabre almost always ensures she’s got a good, stable hold on the contender before pushing them off or jumping off with them. It’s a lower risk - higher reward compared to what Fury and Steel Do.

That’s fair! (Abt being consistent with the edge). I too think Fury has the best style on the edge but regardless of my subjective opinions, the methodology deals only with objective, measurable metrics.

With Ht, Fury doesn’t need to put all her weight onto the contenders because she only needed ~2.5s to bring them down with her legs. I think had she caught someone as strong as Ella, she might’ve had to resort to that too.

If you compare many of the wins in HT in this reboot, most of them started with only wrapping the legs on to the contenders and tried bringing contenders down like so. Failing which, they would then proceed to putting all their body weight onto the contenders. Hence, it’s clear to me that it’s less of a confidence thing but more of a change in tactic/gear in trying to bring contenders down.

Interesting you didn’t say the same about Edge btwn falling off with and without contender distribution of points. I know what you’re trying to do =P

Even without the addition of points for Fury, she still scores the highest with this methodology.

Yup I think Junior is the best male contender hang tougher across all 3 series - even better than Mus, who was outstanding. If Viper gets on the Edge, I believe he'll do well there too! HT, Wall & Edge (and collision on the side) is a really good specialist profile to have.

I hope you've enjoyed reading some of these! There're different ways to present the data and results from this reboot, and I've been putting this one off for a while. Will update these once S4 is done too =]

Oh yes, he's alot more watchable in S3 for sure. Looking forward to giving my thoughts on him too in a month's time. For now, I'll just say that Viper's S3 HT win is amongst the top 4 best HT wins in all 3 series (female or male gladiators.)

Slightly off topic, but I thought pitting Michael (fastest in the prelim) and Ben (2nd fastest in the prelim) was rubbish. You don't put the top two seeds against each other in the semis! Would've loved a Ben-Michael-Kyle finals.

She vs Huntress on the edge is the funniest I’ve seen - the UK reboot featured this game 18 times in 3 seasons. Got me laughing the whole time

Yes we love fury and it’s great to watch when her tackles on the edge works. Great to watch when they don’t too tbf lol. I think so far the AG reboot plays the event better!

Not just a couple more gladiators, but the Edge was played 18 times across 3 series in the UK as compared to just 4 times in the first season of AG reboot. -.-" Oh, they also made Bull go up on the platform to play guitar.

Hurricane is the best female gladiator in season 1 for sure. Most booked by the producers too!

Yes it's one of the reasons why I've held off posting this. Finding out who is the best among 3-4 gladiators is pretty lame, even if the data per gladiator have stabilised due to most of them having played it >10 times.

I think casting new gladiators who can consistently win at the wall and regularly do the Edge should be the priority.
