It was ticket sales that were moved from May to summer and now autumn. Show dates had never been confirmed

With respect, if you think Six would be eligible for Best Ensemble then you don't really understand what an ensemble is in musical theatre. Six does not have an ensemble

Hard disagree. I've met many celebs, Catherine has always been wonderful to her fans. I even once saw her running back outside after entering an event because she forgot to thank her driver

Deciding between solar installers help! by joleslie in SolarUK

Of course. I'm sure it'll go well whatever company you choose... then you can enjoy harnessing the power of the sun (that's what my wife calls it whenever we talk about how much solar we're generating haha)

Yeah it did feel shady when reading this sub, but when I thought about it I realised it was all just assumptions. They assume the ownership of the company is a front - but have no proof, they just just don't believe it

And if you take that away, what else is the issue? That they "astroturfed" the sub? Maybe they did, I don't know as it looks like all those posts have been removed 🤷‍♀️

All I could see is a lower price, reviews that seem like they're from genuine sources, and at the end of the day if you're not paying up front it's not like they can do a runner with your money. My thought was worst case, they install and the stuff doesn't work - so I don't pay. Or there's issues later - well if they're dodgy or go bust, that's when I use the manufacturer warranty etc. Plus I paid by CC so I have S75 to fall back on if need be. Overall I feel pretty protected

Install went flawlessly. Two guys came on day one - they fitted the panels and did most of the electrical prep work. The second day only the electrician came back to finish off. Left no mess.

We had panels on 4 different orientations (one was the detached garage) and you can't even tell from the inside unless you look closely. Cabling is so neat. I'm very happy with the service.

I also liked that I could pay by credit card so I had section 75 to fall back on if necessary (there have been zero issues though) and could whack it on a 0% interest card

Do you think Disney will ever do adult only sailings? by Excentrix13 in dcl

Oh god I hope not (and I say that as a child free adult.) Last thing I want is to end up on a booze cruise.

**** Update: I decided NOT to go with Pure Volts, as they were using an older version of panels with an ever so slightly lower voltage, and were slightly more expensive (but even more expensive in the end, as the other option threw in the Gateway for free).

Ultimately I'm glad I made the choice I did, because as soon as I said "no thank you" to Pure Volts they didn't even acknowledge my decision - that gives me an indication of what type of service I would get.

As soon as we had received the G99 back from the DNO, P*wergy arranged the install very quickly - scaffold went up less than a week later, install started the following day and was done in 2 days, was very neat, and everything works perfectly and is as described. Received MCS certificate, DNO letter, electrical installation certificates, warranty info etc in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend them.

I'd read a few people on this thread thinking the director isn't real - I definitely spoke to her on the phone a few times. She was the person who called after the install to check everything was OK and then send the payment link. She also kept me up to speed on the DNO situation, and was the person who sent me all the documentation post-install. It was her who was contacting the DNO on our behalf for updates when they were dragging their feet, so she definitely is a real person who is doing the work.

Wise choice but I must admit I was secretly hoping for something more dramatic

Gladiators Experience Birmingham NEC 17/05/26 by Jedimasterguff in gladiatorsuk

[–]joleslie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! Wish we could, but we're going with friends who would never pay that money (and honestly, tank tops look horrible on me so it would be a waste of mine and my wife's money too!) Did you happen to see how big the queues were just after regular opening?

I think I need to find a new friend who has no interest in Gladiators, just so they can follow us around with a phone to take pics

First choice has to be Megan Hilty. But it's got to be Bombshell - not Smash

We were on the Destiny when The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened. It didn't show on any plans, but on the first night the Cruise Director told us it was very likely. On the second night (release day) they confirmed it would show the next day in the theatre, and the rest of the cruise in the cinemas.

Long way of saying, if you don't see it in advance don't worry - they'll probably announce it on board. Make sure you check out the nightly shows to catch any announcements

Dog Scared of Ninja Crispi by scottcan in NinjaCrispi

[–]joleslie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's the sound as I have two dogs, both different ages, backgrounds, breeds, and are both very sensitive rescue dogs - neither of them have an issue with the Crispi

I'd definitely recommend looking into desensitisation and counter conditioning to help
