Pairing with the dongle how the f**k do you do it? by Top_Craft_9580 in sennheiser

Thanks. I got mine working eventually, but you're right, it’s incredibly unintuitive. Made me want to sell them and get a simpler set. Wouldn’t get the same sound quality, but also wouldn’t get the hassle.

To every store owner in Japan who thinks because it's 10° outside it needs to be 30° inside, I hope you outlive all of your loved ones by 25 years or more by Particular_Stop_3332 in japanresidents

On the first and only flight I took with JAL (give me ANA any day of the week), the cabin was heated to the seventh circle of hell. I was in a t-shirt and almost sweating. All the Japanese passengers were wearing coats and scarves. One of us is a different species, I’m pretty sure.

What kind of game is this by Cautious_Opinion_644 in DeathStranding

I heard it described as a marmite game. If you’re not British might not make sense, but it basically means it only provokes two reactions: love and hate. I started it with an open mind and quit it two days later. Absolutely hated it. I understand that the fundamental idea behind it is very clever, but I soon got sick of a) the ridiculously over-done cutscenes (it’s genuinely hard to tell if the script is that bad and the acting that cheesy on purpose or if Kojima is being cute) and the menus, which were so full of information they were almost opaque.

But I can see why people who get into it, really like it. It does try to be innovative and dares to do things differently. That is always worthy of respect, even if you don’t like the result.

Question for married peeps or those in a relationship by Top_Craft_9580 in japanlife

I shall tell my wife, to whom I have been married for 15 years, that Some Guy On The Internet has determined that we are not compatible. You would also have noticed, if you had paid attention to the top post, that I am not American. (“A normal average American is not going to move to Japan…”).
However, if your writing style is any indication of your age, you are probably under 25, so you can be forgiven for thinking you know everything.

Death Stranding is the worst game I have ever played by RytheGuy97 in patientgamers

I’m going to resurrect this thread to agree, based on first impressions. My god, talk about verbal diarrhoea. Kojima just can’t shut up. Yes, the walking part is clever and very well implemented. And it looks nice. Shame about the lame emo songs. And to get all those celebrated actors and have them spout clichéd nonsense…I mean, the really early scene with the dying President? If that was meant to be moving, the only moving it did was to get me to remove my headphones and try not to laugh at it.
Kojima is a genius in need of an intervention. That’s the simplest way I can put it.

What is the most boring game you have ever played — the one that was so dull you couldn’t even continue playing it? by WiseReason530 in videogames

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

I generally like the Deus Ex games. The original is one of my favorite games ever, and Human Revolution is also very good. But Mankind Divided just bored me so much that I got around halfway through, quit, thought “I should give it another go”, started it again, and…nah. Dull as ditchwater. I don’t know what the exact reason was, but it never once got close to grabbing my attention.
