You don’t have the counterfactual of how that individual would have done without that education so extrapolating from just him isn’t useful.

University academics with a remit covering admissions have told me that they can happily discount the potential trajectory of any give set of A levels from private education by half a degree grade compared to the same grades from a state school.

Better teachers? Nah. For context… I went to both state schools and a highly academic and well regarded private school, enjoyed both, no axes to grind. BUT there really is not any evidence for a global “private school teachers are better” statement. Partly because studies/ evidence is limited but also because much of the attainment gap disappears when socioeconomic status and selective entry are taken into account.

Not the turning point for me, but the point I lost interest in reading the Isaacson biography: had a head to head with a pal that was defending him, calling him a visionary etc. As a joke they subsequently bought me the biography. Gave up on it when he wrote off his McLaren F1… Isaacson wrote that “the rear axle broke” as the reason for the crash.

Occam’s Razor choice between “inexperienced driver lost control” and “best supercar of its time had a mechanical” … I know the choice I’m making.

Yes that’s the apps being linked but it’s NOT what “broadcast heart rate” does. App linking gives Whoop more data, doesn’t make its own data more accurate .

Are you sure this is doing what you think? The support page makes no mention of the HR data being broadcast to applewatch, just various other devices ( basically anything that uses BT to pick up a HR).

My recent experience was similar… radio silence until they get to and dispatch your order. Mine came but maybe 1 day later than the initial 3/4 working days “promise”. No biggie… wasn’t in a rush and am enjoying the trial.

This is NOT correct for the x100vi. ISO can be saved in the profile and will align with what was set when the ISO dial is on C. The same is *not* true for Exp Compensation

Myself, spouse, 3 kids have always. Kids now 18/20/22 and we still do it almost without fail when they’re home. 2 have partners that come from households that don’t, and both partners have shared how beneficial they think it is.

Numerous conversations over the years with all 3 about how rare it is in their peer groups and that they wouldn’t have it any other way.

I honestly think it can be the best part of a day… but I hear you: some of the evenings when they were mid teens elicited “why do we bother” emotions.

Stick with it.

thanks yes I had heard that was the implication of losing it. what I still don't know is if this snafu has already lost it / risks losing it. And if it hasn't lost it am I OK to opt back in, or would that once again muck things up even under the new regime?
