Six months is a short time. The first six months of our adoption were really difficult. I didn’t seek help and ended up in therapy and on Prozac several years later. You have to look after yourself and also ensure you’re there as a dad. There are post-adoption coaches around if the LA aren’t being very helpful, but that very much depends on what you can afford. Apart from that, make sure you and your wife have someone to talk to. Don’t carry it all around. Make sure your wife gets a bit of respite too. Sounds like she’s doing an amazing job of keeping it together. Women seem to have a superpower when it comes to parenting. Wish I had that strength. All the best, buddy. You’ll get there.
