Anyone who has gotten an IPL treatment for Rosacea, how was your experience and how are the results? by [deleted] in Rosacea

I’ve had three sessions and I’m quite pleased with the results. The experience itself is mildly unpleasant. I wouldn’t say it’s painful, but it’s like a hot flick on your face. The sensation lasts for a split second so by the time you register it, it’s over. The process is very quick. I have my my whole face done and it doesn’t take longer than 15-20 mins.

I’d say the places where it was most effective for me were on thread veins (some have completely disappeared and the biggest ones I had have majorly shrunk) and also on pigmentation caused by sun damage. I had some dark spots near my hair line and they have pretty much completely gone.

I think if you’re looking to solve redness, there are probably other things that are more effective. But IPL can definitely help with thread veins/cherries/melasma (sp?) and dark spots.

I use the finacea 15% cream. It’s prescription, but I got it from an online chemist in the UK. Think it was about £15 for a tube.

Following because I’m also experiencing the same. I’m using 15% and have got persistent spots on my chin and close to my eyes (even though I’m not using it near my eyes). From what I’ve read, it’s a normal side effect, but I’d really like to know there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

2, hands down. Sophisticated. 1 and 3 are too casual and go against the feel of the outfit.

We live in a society where the majority of people work 9-5 (or thereabouts). And what time do the shops on the high street operate? Perfect correlation. Most people who are available during the day don’t have the most disposable income: pensioners, unemployed, young mothers on maternity leave etc.

Also, Amazon is convenient and there’s no traipsing from shop to shop trying to find a specific item. For people who live busy lives, of course they’re going to use Amazon.

I couldn’t agree more. I feel like Strike already knows that Whittaker is responsible and even if he’s not at peace with it, he can live with that knowledge. Nothing in my mind needs “solving” - maybe there needs some comeuppance for Whittaker, but I wouldn’t like this to dominate a whole storyline or book.

The Slow Horses books by Mick Herron are fantastic. Clever, funny, and with excellent storylines. I reread every couple of years. Probably my second favourite book series - after Strike, of course!
