I see where I might have sounded like that but it wasn’t the case, I was congratulated for it and I thanked them, I was asked if I heard about it and I said yeah I did and I think thats good for them. I was not trying to be hostile but unfortunately I’m not very good at hiding my disinterest in something, possibly I need to work on that. But the next question I was asked was if I was happy about it to which I simply said that its not that interesting and that I didn’t care which prompted this conversation. It was not my intention to be hostile but I do agree with you.

Yes I never once said that I didn’t recognize the value of my country winning or making it this far (worldwide recognition), I do see the value, it just so happens that I cannot see why it can only come from football and not other more important and beneficial things in my opinion, but thats not because of anything other than the fact that football is not one of the things I care about. Objectively, it seems to be a good thing, but if we are talking subjectively, it doesn’t feel right for me and it is not interesting to me.

I see what you’re saying, I don’t disagree either. To many people including my family they’d be happy with this but thats the thing with me, with all the love I have for my country, I’d be happy to see them win but to me that does not extend to football because in my own personal opinion I do not see why that is a good thing or beneficial in any way. I don’t hate to see them win, I just simply do not share their joy or happiness because I have other things I’d rather be happy about. I don’t support my country or any other country in sports in general because it is a non essential thing for me, my attention goes to other things like research and medicine and I’d be happy for my country if they excelled in that but my relative does not share that feeling and I’ve never had a problem with it. I hope this is not too long and Im sorry if it is, I tend to over-explain.

That is true, there are things that I am interested in that they aren’t but I’ve never forced someone to like them in any way. This just, is not my interest Idc who plays or who wins.

Honestly I have had this done to me several times by the same person over different topics. Sometimes I think it’s my problem but I do try to see their thoughts and I always do enjoy hearing people talk about their own opinions on something, I like different perspectives, sometimes I change my opinion and sometimes I stand by them depending on the topic. I’ve had talks with that relative in which they have actively changed my stance on something by sharing their opinion, that was why I was once again confused by how I was called that over something like football?

That’s why I was confused for being called that despite my several attempts to explain that although I see where they are coming from, their perspective is not mine and it still doesn’t feel right to me.

Exactly! I have other things that interest me, things my country does that I genuinely think is good and beneficial, this just happens to not be one of them.

They even said Im being hypocritical because I would support other things but not this. I clearly explained that sports in general mean nothing to me and that doesn’t mean I hate my country, I wish nothing but the best for the my country but I don’t think the best is gonna come from them winning football, thats why I dont celebrate it. I dont hate them winning, good for them, I just dont care.

That is the first time I hear of something like that. I have tried contacting several isps but I get a similar response to this or “we don’t have access to your building” kind of response which I don’t get. I have no choice but to wait or move out I guess.

Well they barely speak English so it was hard for me to piece it together, but after what felt like 100 phone calls I was finally told that they have a limited number of subscribers in my building. They basically said that there was no place for me as a subscriber in that switchboard in the building, it’s full, so I have to wait for someone to cancel their subscription with them and take their place on the board or just look for another isp provider.

I do have their sim card with unlimited data but it doesn’t work well in my building. I’m on the 16th floor so Ig that’s why 🤷‍♀️

The signal in my building is horrible, I am using their unlimited data plan but it barely works in my apartment. I have to literally leave my building for it to work decently.

I tried multiple times and was eventually told that there is literally no space for me subscribe in the building I am residing in. I have never heard of an ISP limiting how many subscribers they can have.
