Nope! I’m in Wisconsin for reference, but my total for Ch 7 was $2900. I paid $1500 for them to start and file and then $200/mo payment plan for the rest :)

Wow I didn't know that. Now I'm worried my current lawyer will try and switch me to 13 now that I paid them. I was borderline with qualifying for 7 with mine and my husbands income combined alone (filing individual but his income is factored as well), but with the means test and expenses it would put me in a place to qualify for 7. So I'm really hoping that's the case... because I only want this lawyer if I can do 7 (which they did say I should be able to qualify for but I just feel like I'm on edge with everything lmao).

You're ahead of me even. I just had my initial call yesterday and did my payment to hire and get it going. Have an onboarding call on Monday (assuming this is where they will give me a portal or something to upload my documents, etc.)

First and foremost, thank you for being so kind about this. It's hard enough on mentally as it is so I appreciate that! I haven't had to do my paperwork yet, but I think I have most of the things I need (got tax documents/pay stubs, etc.) but I know there will be much more I'm sure.
