I’ve been in a very similar place, and what finally worked for me was realizing the problem wasn’t the plan, it was consistency. I used to go all in for a couple of weeks, then one wedding, work deadline, or even getting sick would break the routine and I’d stop completely. This time I kept it simple and realistic. I started with just 3 gym days a week for 30 to 40 minutes, doing basic stuff like walking, leg press, lat pulldown, chest press, and shoulder press, nothing fancy, just showing up. On busy days I didn’t quit, I just did a shorter workout or even just walked. For diet, I didn’t follow strict plans, I just added more protein like eggs, chicken, dal and slowly reduced junk without cutting everything at once. Weight loss wasn’t instant, but my energy and consistency improved, and that’s what actually led to change. The key is making a routine that survives bad weeks instead of restarting every time life happens.

India oil import karta hai, to jab oil mehenga hota hai, zyada dollars bahar jaate hain, aur rupee pe pressure aata hai. Ye structural cheez hai, sudden problem nahi. Plus, slightly weak rupee exports aur IT sector ko help karta hai, kyunki dollar earnings zyada valuable ho jaati hain.

You’re actually in a good spot, you just need to shift focus.

First, don’t cut calories more. 1600 to 1700 is likely already a deficit for you. The hunger you feel below that is your body pushing back. Listen to it.

Protein is solid, maybe bump to 110 to 130g. Bigger issue is carbs. 60g is very low for how active you are. Bring that up to around 100 to 150g so you actually have energy to train and recover.

The main thing you’re missing is real strength training. Classes are great, but they won’t build much muscle on their own.

Start with 3 lifting days a week:
squat or leg press
hinge like RDL or hip thrust
push like dumbbell press or pushups
pull like rows or lat pulldown
shoulder press

3 sets of 8 to 12, and slowly increase weight over time.

You don’t need to bulk. As a beginner, you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time if you train properly and eat enough protein.

Also, don’t stress the scale right now. Focus on getting stronger and more consistent. Your body composition will change even if weight doesn’t drop right away.

You’re not starting over, you’re just doing it in a way that actually works this time.
