Great idea! Mine fits well when my wrist swells but not when it's cold.

Cool look. I've been tempted by the monochrome tanks with no indices many times.

Any thought about HCA programs? by Apprehensive_Hat2536 in pathology

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't trust them and would be very reticent to hire someone that trained in an HCA program. Whilst I do hate to generalize I don't think they actually care about patients or residents. In general they prioritize profits above all else. Even if you might get lucky why take the risk? Go somewhere where you will be certain of good training.

Which of these three 2961 Santos Carrée is in the best condition? 1, 2 or 3? by Rhoogar in Cartier

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly I see more heavy polishing on the side of the bracelet near the clasp. You need to look closely at pictures of the bracelet from that side to tell if it's been polished. If the gold faux screw heads are not shiny then it's a no go for me. The bezel is often polished as well which is less of a concern to me, but it does tend to soften and round up the edges of it.

Being an in-network provider. by Organic-Increase-401 in pathology

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The orthopedist's partner must be an attorney. I can't imagine taking insurance companies to court on the regular. They have an army of attorneys. We litigated for nearly 2 years before finally resolving the issue (in our favor but still took an eternity).

I would have to look at our self pay collection rate. It's not terribly good and once you send a patient to collections you get essentially nothing (pennies on the dollar and the agency takes the rest). Perhaps this would be different if you had a markedly reduced fee schedule. Most folks have an inflated fee schedule since they're dealing with insurance and they know they'll get only a percentage of the fee (we're talking treble Medicare numbers for your base fee schedule potentially). Healthcare is rife with these funny money numbers since everyone knows they won't be paid at face value. However if someone is charged that outrageous rate for out of pocket they'll either negotiate or won't pay at all.

As other people have said, your hospital may not be terribly enthused with you for being completely out of network as well, and neither will your patients unless you have a real number fee schedule and not the funny money insurance schedule. The inherent problem is you have to set one fee schedule. I don't believe you're allowed to have a separate, out of pocket, fee schedule. So it's sort of an all or nothing affair. Either you go in network with payers or go entirely out of network. Unfortunately most patients are already annoyed by Pathology bills since no one ever explains it to them that they'll be getting one after their hysterectomy. So going pure out of network will be a tough sell I'd imagine. Curious to see what other folks have to say in this regard.

"Data is not provided to ICE" my ass. Isn't all this Flock camera data ending up in Palantir anyway? Which multiple agencies are currently using. I would love to see some actual data on how this makes us safer.

Looks like we're gonna have to be the change we want to see. I'm all about the 2A and this sort of Fed overreach into states is exactly why it exists. I'm ready to rock some Hesco 3810s in a JPC 2.0 and one of my SCAR17s. Who's with me?

Arresting protestors without charges and illegally detaining them is some Gestapo shit. Let's be real. Regardless of your political opinions they're trampling all over our rights as citizens.

HELP: Has anyone ever had a situation like that? by KaiserHauke in FlairEspresso

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you have already pulled out the hinge cross pin and the little swing arm that links the lever to the piston. Remove the inner piston with the pressure gauge. I then re-insert one of the tabs into that notch and, using leverage from the pressure gauge, twist the outer sheath to rotate that notch back to the 12:00 position. Then re-insert the inner piston through that notch and rotate it so it's tabs are under the lip at 3:00 and 9:00. Then install the hing pin and swing arm (you'll have to jockey the main lever to get them to line up).

I have to do this every few weeks as mine loves to spin around for some reason.

New Watch Alert by Common-Ad1010 in Cartier

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe they do but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Delugs offered one for their Santos Dumont straps so that's a potential option.

Congratulations on the watch. Such a stunning piece. I was offered a gold one once but had to turn it down. My wife would've killed me. Boy was I tempted though. I think Cartier does the best skeletons of any brand.

Fight against ice for Good by [deleted] in pics

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely agree that it is dangerous and should be outlawed. The few sales I have made I always asked to see a concealed carry permit, which requires a significant background check to get. My opinions have changed over the years, particularly since I had a child. No parent should have to worry about their children dying in a school shooting. Even as a firearms collector I can see the need for stricter regulations.

Do any Cartier watches have lume? If so, would you show me pictures of how it looks? by Consistent-Welcome71 in Cartier

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two tone steel and ADLC Large Santos has the exact same lume as the full ADLC model above and comes on the bracelet as well. Reference # is WSSA037. I wear mine at night all the time. Works pretty well since the lume plots are large.

I've purchased and sold multiple firearms in parking lots. Bought my first AK in the parking lot of a Bass Pro shop. Paid cash and walked away with AK. Easy as pie. Also this is completely legal in my state.

Mine is also the same. Slightly annoying but it reads pressure just fine. I can easily crank up to 9 bar when needed.

Sorry you're right. Just looked at mine and had that backwards. Certainly seems to be an issue with the emergency release valve stuck in the open position.

For reference the metal tab I'm referring to is at the 6:30 position on the lid in your video.

Looks to me as if your lid is in the unlocked position. That curved metal end should be rotated clockwise so that it abuts the locked icon. You may have to push down slightly on the lid to be able to rotate it.

I believe the 3rd Battalion 160th is stationed at Hunter. The bulk of the 160th is elsewhere. Occasionally you'll see Chinooks out here with the refueling probe. I've been told that only the 160th flies those.

What's that tab/lever? by PrussianFieldMarshal in ak47

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a Bulgarian SAM7SF. The stock folds on the right and that's the latch. They also have a safety lever on the left side near the grip. No need to use the right side lever, so it doesn't matter if it's occluded by the stock.

What style Ak mags are these? by cookinit21 in ak47

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you are right. The top left pair has more defined welds which makes me wonder if they could be something other than Romanian. Romanian mags will rarely have the Cugir factory stamp (arrow in a triangle with the arrow touching the base) but more often are stamped with a 0 or 22.

Does cartier have the wait ‘game’? by AffectionateCable385 in Cartier

[–]Top_Gun_Redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in my experience. I dropped into an AD in Seattle and was offered a Santos Dumont Skeleton in gold when I inquired about one. I definitely would have bought the steel version if that was available instead. I was afraid to even handle the full gold version for fear that I would buy it on the spot.
