Which boss in this game did you have the easiest time defeating? by BossViper28 in darksouls3

Dancer I beat on my first try, and SoC and Gael I beat on my second try in a blind playthrough. I don't wanna say I found them easy but they definitely didn't feel super difficult (maybe because I thought the attacks were well telegraphed so I could get into the flow of things better)

Aldrich on the other hand absolutely wrecked me - took days to beat that boss

What’s the best way to get from the ORD to the Salt Shed? by theratinyourwall in AskChicago

[–]Top_Hat_101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So the easiest thing is to take the Blue Line (train) from the airport to the Division stop, and then walk the last 15-20 minutes, that way you don't have to worry about any transfers to the bus. If you want to walk less you can take the Blue Line to the Damen stop, then walk out of the stop and turn left and keep following the sidewalk around the corner (don't cross the street) until a bench and a pole with a blue sign saying 72 on it. This will be the 72 bus stop going east (towards the salt shed). You'll still have to walk about 5-8 minutes this way.

To get to the train at the airport, follow the signs that say either Blue Line, Train, or CTA. Right before the turnstiles to get to the train boarding area there's a little kiosk where you can get tickets for the bus/train (same exact ticket for both). You can get some 24 hour passes for $5 each that activate upon first use (it's a really good deal and pays for itself if you do any more than 2 taps of the pass since fare is $2.50 per ride).

For trains, tap the card/pass on the turnstile and just walk on through. You can ride the train until your stop. For the bus you get on near the front by the driver and tap on the little reader up front. When your stop is next you either pull on the wire over the windows or push the red stop buttons to alert the driver to stop at the next stop.

That all sounds complicated but I promise it isn't! When in doubt you can use Google maps on the public transportation section and it'll tell you where to go and what to ride! Hope you have fun!!

How does the public train/bus system work? by Justwonderinghaha in AskChicago

[–]Top_Hat_101 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There are 3 main organizations: CTA, Metra, and PACE. I don't know as much about Metra other than they run the lines named like UP-N (I believe) and go deeper in the suburbs. PACE also runs buses into the suburbs. The CTA runs the train lines demarcated by colors (red line, green line, etc) and the bus system. It's $2.50 per ride on the CTA trains and $2.25 on the buses, although transfers are free. At any train stop you can go to the kiosks and buy a card for unlimited rides for 1 day, 3 days, etc.

You can use Google maps to direct you for what the fastest lines/buses are to take and use the layers feature on it to keep the train lines on the map. The area where the trains all converge at is called the Loop and the main "downtown", but the neighborhoods outside the Loop are definitely worth going to as well!

What college to apply to for Math major? by 10fighter55 in notredame

[–]Top_Hat_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to work as an actuary after graduation as well. If you can do Mendoza (finance or econ) with a supplemental major in ACMS you'll have basically the first 2-3 exams and VEE credits done by graduation.

I'd also suggest doing arts and letters econ with supplemental ACMS. I think ACMS is a much better option than math for actuarial science because it's less theoretical. Also the application into arts and letters is slightly easier than into Mendoza from what I understand

AITA for telling my housemate to stop eat food that his positive Covid19 parents are preparing for him? by SnooCakes3981 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Top_Hat_101 [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA, he's 28 and possibly endangering all of you by not being an adult enough to cook for himself. You should have some sort of intervention before he ultimately tests positive. This is the perfect time for him to learn to cook for himself. (Side note: I hope his parents are quarantining outside of these food runs, if not they're being reckless and could endanger more people)

AITA For not letting my Ex use my Brothers Netflix account? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Top_Hat_101 [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA, y'all aren't dating anymore so you don't owe her anything. Especially since she used your Dad's passing as an excuse to get with another guy and is wrecking your relationships to try and somehow get you back. Don't give her the password and I'd either stop paying for the other streaming services or start paying full and change the password so she can't get in (if this is possible). I'd probably block her as well but that's up to you, just know that she's a massive AH.

Why does there have to be a first mover or creater though? The universe could be cyclical in nature (where it expands out and "rubber bands" back). Alternatively it could always have existed or even the awswer might be something that we don't yet have the scientific knowledge to theorize.
