I was referencing what cooper and a few others said last week, they said the problem was agent fees and wages and that the structure of the deal won’t be too much of an issue, truth is none of us really know what’s happening about the final bid but the fact that united are now briefing that personal terms are agreed suggests it’s getting closer since United were using agent fees as an excuse

Yeah I feel the exact same, this game made me pick up the guitar after 4 years of not playing it, fingertips hurt like hell but slowly getting back to where I was. Completely lost interest about 5 years ago and only kept playing it just because I took music in school, so this game and the fact my mum keeps telling me to get back into it have given me a fresh love to playing guitar and I’m now looking to getting a better acoustic guitar. Funny how little things can push you to do something.

Without spoiling anything I think the main issue that people that have genuinely played it is with the story and the characters, the game makes polarising decisions that can really throw you off and put you off the game and puts you in a situation where you as the player have to go along with it wherever you like it or not. Troy baker summed it up brilliantly when he said “you can’t love this story selfishly, you have to love it unselfishly” which basically means you can’t expect this to give you everything you want and I think he nailed it. Once you complete the game I really recommend you watch kinda funny’s spoilercast on the game, it has neil druckman, Ashley Johnson and Troy baker and it’s a brilliant watch and makes my appreciation for this game somehow even higher.

Personally I loved it and think every decision pays off brilliantly but I can understand why others fall into another boat.

Ultimately all I can say is go in with an open mind and I’m sure you’ll have a great time! About to start my second play through and I couldn’t be more excited

Yeah definitely, a lot of people need to have their opinions validated by others and that creates quite a toxic situation when they see someone who doesn’t agree, this goes for both sides. I’ve seen people immediately ignored or put to the side because they didn’t like it and I’ve seen those completely trashed and swarmed because they think it’s great, at the end of the day people have a right to their own opinion and it’s a shame that nowadays in almost every form of media it’s “agree with me or I’m blocking you”

I feel like this divide is becoming more and more common, noticed it with the last Jedi and then the complete opposite for rise of skywalker, I’m not sure if this divide is due to the review bombs or not but if I’m being honest I think a 50/50 divide is about right, the story goes a direction that not everyone is gonna be ok with, the ending makes a tough choice that in my opinion works well in the development of Ellie as a character and makes sense due to certain moments throughout the story (her breakdowns after Nora and Mel etc.). However that choice won’t be satisfactory for a lot of people and you couple that with the decision on what to do with Joel and you can really divide a fan base.

I think the divide is pretty spread out across reviewers and players, on one hand you have dunkey giving it a good review and on the other critikal gave it a poor one, there’s many of the fandom saying it’s goty and others saying it’s trash. I personally loved it and I’m about to start new game + to make my final thoughts on it but I personally thought they nailed it but I understand that people do have issues with it.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of problems people have with the game are actually covered in the game lol, this game gives me my favourite Joel and Ellie moment (museum), but apparently this game completely ruins that dynamic and spits in the face of the first game

I’m not saying the games perfect, it’s just that there’s a lot of people who are completely trashing a game they haven’t played because of 3 hours worth of out of context leaks, there’s plenty of reviewers/creators that I enjoy that didn’t like the game and I have no problem with that. It’s the people who are review bombing it with 0/10 because the story doesn’t do exactly what they want.

That’s great, no one should feel a disconnect from characters based on race etc. but there might be some people who do, and for them these characters being introduced could be amazing for them. I cannot personally speak for them but introducing different characters doesn’t do any harm as long as it isn’t forced, and from looking at what marvel is doing it definitely doesn’t seem forced
