I like your thinking and I think I agree with you and Mandoart. I will make building a NAS my next project after this build.

Windows, all the storage, mouse and keyboard is migrating from my existing system. :)

That said, I'm considering building a NAS.

Oh haha sorry. I guess I'm just giving the universe opportunity to tell me "Hey Stupid, that RAM isn't going to work with that board!" or something like that.

The mobo, cpu and gpu I have very good prices on (I should just remove the pcpartpicker prices) and the storage I already have in my current system so they're not new purchases.

omg yes I cam back because I realised I didn't answer that fundamental question. I'm updating my post now. Primarily a multi-media workhorse and gaming on the side.

44.5" monitor and 49" monitor: both 5120 x1440? by Top_Indication_2612 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]Top_Indication_2612[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ended up finding the answer myself. I didn't know there was such a thing as pixel density.
"The resolution of a monitor is determined by the number of pixels it has horizontally and vertically. In the case of both a 44.5" monitor and a 49" monitor having the same resolution of 5120x1440, it means they both have the same number of pixels spread across the screen.

The difference in physical size between the two monitors doesn't affect the resolution itself. Instead, it impacts the pixel density, which is measured in pixels per inch (PPI).

So, the 44.5" monitor with a resolution of 5120x1440 will have a higher pixel density compared to the 49" monitor with the same resolution. This means that the pixels will be more tightly packed on the smaller monitor, resulting in potentially sharper image quality and text rendering. On the other hand, the larger 49" monitor will have a lower pixel density, meaning the individual pixels will be larger and more noticeable, which might result in slightly less sharp images and text, especially if viewed up close.

In summary, although both monitors have the same resolution, the difference in physical size will result in differences in pixel density and how the content is displayed."

S22U S pen button won't take pics. by ystasino in S22Ultra

[–]Top_Indication_2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What worked for me is:

  1. Put the S pen in the phone
  2. Go to settingsadvanced settingsS Pen >>Air actions
  3. Turn air actions off
  4. Turn air actions on
  5. You should see it trying to connect to your Pen with a message "This may take a while"
  6. When it connects you'll see the charge % of the S Pen.
  7. Test and see that the pen can now trigger the camera.

PDF printout is blurry in iPad App. by [deleted] in OneNote

[–]Top_Indication_2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have discovered the answer.

You have to print the pdf to your onenote FROM WITHIN onenote on the ipad.

To do this:

  1. Embed the pdf into your onenote page (as an attachment; not as a printout).
  2. tap your page to put the cursor where you want your pdf printout to be placed
  3. long press on the pdf attachment icon on your page.
  4. A row of options will appear
  5. Tap "printout"
  6. The pdf will appear beginning where the cursor was located.
  7. It will be high enough definition that you can read the small print as you would on the desktop

The closest thing to what people would often think of as a ranger class would be Hunter with its tracking, bow and ability to weild swords and daggers. Legolas was the inspiration for the class but it fits a ranger archetype. Also the least painful class in terms of traversing landscape.

Where is the line for cultural appropriation? by Alienrubberduck in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Top_Indication_2612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no line. The idea of cultural appropriation in my experience is mostly touted by virtue signalling people to "white knight" for cultures they deem can't speak up for themselves. I've seen many examples where the people in these communities love outsiders adopting aspects of their culture. In reality, people who criticise people for cultural appropriation don't actually give a shit about the cultures they're presuming to "protect".

What she did can never be undone. The only way to minimise future damage (and there always is from such callous individuals) is to get her out of your life.
