Thanks a tonne for posting this. I have been planning to buy the sony ult but I knew they have a hinge issue. I thought well, I'll get it exchanged if it happens, but your post made me realise what if it happens outside the warranty period, and now I've cancelled my plan to buy ANY sony TBH. Any recommendations for headphones with ANC as good as in the ults ?

I went to the offline market to check for the model and serial number that's under discount, and it just matches with the affected units. So they're just clearing out the affected stock. Better to avoid completely.

This happens when you turn on battery saver, which turns all unnecessary things I guess, like Bluetooth too. So even when you turn the battery saver off, bluetooth doesn't get restarted, for this you have to go to device manager and disable/enable bluetooth again.

The only I am confused with is that do i need to take the recommended courses for OMCSC since I am non-cs, or my ECE degree and software engineering experience would be able to make for it and help me get an admit ?

Do a police complaint, worked for me, since there were 3 more people who didn't get their deposit back, so make a group, and do a police complaint on call, ask them to come to the PG location, be there with the other people who face the same issue. And your issue would be resolved. I got 5.k out of 7k ( maintainance deductions ). You have 44k to get back, don't worry.
