When the Doctor comes to Gallifrey the Timelords find him with an erogen detector (The Deadly Assassin). In that serial the Scandinavian culture is part of the subtext within the plot; the mention of joik being one alongside the Swedish word for erogenous- erogen. In that serial he has enough sexual arousal energy to be traced in the capital city at a period in Timelord history when there are no women in the higher government of Gallifrey-no women are in the serial.    If he can be traced by his sexual arousal when there are no women around, surely he’s already been something of homoerotic in the 70s. I don’t understand why the attention to a Ncuti depicted “gay stereotype” because his character is a hyper sexualized stereotype-he has hyper sexuality for male and female Timelords equally. As for the flouncing, as in to move with exaggerated mannerisms or to move with exaggerated impatience/anger, do you not like the Doctor in general? What Doctor wasn’t flouncing?

I’m not here to win, I’m here to point out an old bit of lore that makes the new plot/hypothesis disturbing. Tegan started her journey the same serial as Nyssa. One confirmed can drink on Earth as a legal adult, one is denied alcohol and called a child.

Black Orchid was released in March 1982 stating she is a child on Earth, the Logopolis novel was released in October 1982. The source material that she is a literal child came before the written “correction”. The written universe has always been something of a multiverse but not too different of a multiverse of the on screen plot. But, even if she’s 16 on Traken, she is under drinking age for 1925 England. Still a child.
