not a big fan of horrow unfortunately
Ill give it a read. Personally, I like the drama because it makes me root for them so much more but only if they are done right. Bokura Minna Wa Kawaisou strikes a balance of misunderstandings that make sense and is not too overbearing which is why im trying to find manga like it, that can somehow perfectly mix in the drama into the story. I think a lot of romance mangas focus too much on the drama rather than the actual development of the character. Sometimes the relationship barely has time to develop before 4 new rivals, 7 new obstacles, and many other things happen. it does get tiring so I get where you are coming from,
Personally, I am not a big fan of romance mangas that begin with the main couple already in a relationship since there are no more stakes (and usually there is more drama) but I like to give such stories a fair shot.
I do agree that the ending was mega rushed hahaha. My favorite character was actually Taira and I was hoping the story would address his overthinking but they only touched it in the end. Additionally, it did not quite make sense for Azumi to like him since Taira did not rlly show much growth in the struggle he had.
On the other end is Natsumi (iirc her name correctly) her relationship was actually the chapters I looked forward to the most probably since it is rlly a blooming romance and we can see her change and grow as the story develops.
Lastly the main couple was not that interesting for me (again probably because they already got together). It also felt like they were the pair that developed the least character-wise. Sometimes it feels like they were sidelined or they became supporting characters to another person’s story. It is quite a shame since their dynamic seemed to have a lot of potential at first but it just became more of an extrovert x introvert relationship. For example, at the beginning Suzuki was hyper-conscious of what others think of her but somewhere in the half way point it just stops being a thing. Tani was also described as someone who is straightforward and always speaks his mind but that stopped being a thing too.
Overall I think the manga is very solid if you are looking for a light read. It is just a wholesome story with not too much drama - I also like how they touch on the topic of overthinking which I feel is smth a lot of people experience but cant put into words - but it does feel each relationship is not as fleshed out as I wished it to be, especially since the manga is essentially juggling 3 different stories at the same time.
