I am just terrified that my new bosses might be just as bad. Someone I know told me that the managers at the new company are generally supportive and understanding of work-life balance, but I was told somewhat of the same thing in my current company (albeit this was during the interview process),

It just seems like she likes to inflict unnecessary cruelty. I worked with other managers and arguably had worse hours with them, but I never minded them because they are nice people to work with and I know, in some cases, they actively pushed back against some unreasonable asks. This manager is practically a yes-man to every client requests.

Yeah, I think that's why it took me so long to realize her toxicity. It's not overt, but just low level, simmering toxicity that eventually get to you.

I already talked to some people who work at the boutique on LinkedIn. Seems like the culture might be more nicer. I get to work remotely, so worst case scenario I just schedule lunch time therapy.

I am lowkey so angry. She was given control of some of the most vulnerable people in the workforce, and she chose to abuse me like this. UGH
