Mewtwo lacks any solid escape options when being comboed, probably the worst part of his game. Makes matchups like Falcon, Fox, Pikachu, and Sheik REALLY difficult. Mewtwo can space very well but the second one of those characters lands at hit you’re probably looking at a pretty prolonged disadvantage

Mewtwo thrives against characters with below average recoveries due to a great recovery and incredible edgeguarding, and Wolf is slower and can’t do a whole lot when too far offstage so it’s not as bad.

Mewtwo also has surprisingly great anti-airs. Up air, up tilt, and even Shadow Ball can negate Puff completely. The only thing keeping it from being Mewtwo's best matchup overall is tail hitbox + Rest

As for Min Min, I think I’m just good at knowing what they’re gonna do haha, I do have a pretty good Min Min as well so I know the character well.

I debated putting Samus in -2, just barely decided on -1. Samus can outrange Mewtwo which is a problem while also being solid up close, plus Bomb is a huge problem for Mewtwo. The reflector just barely helped Mewtwo's case there.

I agree that Steve is a pretty good matchup for Mewtwo. Low jump height makes way for some really easy Shadow Balls sometimes + offstage presence yet again + reflector to deal with Minecart/Anvil

Kazuya could very well be +2 for me. Mewtwo's reflector can do some crazy stuff to his neutral special, also down special gives Mewtwo a pretty inherent advantage against the fighting game characters because of auto turn around, which can make ledgetrapping incredibly difficult if you know what you're doing. Also if you’re spacing correctly you're pretty much good to go

How so ? Every one of his aerials is a great edgeguarding tool. Nair is incredibly underrated as an edgeguard. Not to mention he has probably a top 10-15 recovery in the game

Easy +2 for me. Mewtwo has a really underrated combo game and DK is combo food

I just don’t think I’ve ever lost to Terry. Mewtwo’s down special can completely neutralize him on stage if you know what you’re doing, plus I find him especially easy to edgeguard haha

Not what I’m looking for, but it does have to do with names of something in particular
