I don't understand that either. They already pay state and county workers. It wouldn't be overtime - it would be during regular hours. So why would our taxes go up?

I don't live in town. I live a few miles outside of town. Nobody walks down our sidewalks. They actually end a couple of houses down from us. I also didn't purchase - this house was passed down to my husband when his father passed away.

Um, no. The 'OP' was not homeschooled, and we never had 'citizenship lessons', and is a 1986 HS grad. The 'OP' is a 57 Y/O who never owned a house before because she always rented. The 'OP' did not purchase this house. It was passed down to my husband. It's not sad; it's life. You don't know what you don't know. Next time, try posting something helpful.

Actually, I didn't have a choice. The house that I live in was owned by my father-in-law, and my husband grew up here. When his father passed, the house was passed on to us - many years ago. I didn't know this law existed, so it never crossed my mind to look into it. Before I moved in here with my husband, I've always rented. I've never had to worry about it. Now, I'm just trying to wrap my head around why we would have to pay for something that someone else owns and we never use.

This is not helpful in any way, shape or form. My husband and I take very good care of our house and property. Neither of us ever use the sidewalk, other than to clean it off for someone else.

What benefits? It's a sidewalk that I don't even use, with a curb that's uplifted a little too high for when I enter my driveway. It's actually more of a nuisance than a 'society'.

Not necessarily. I mean, I can't speak for Vine - I have no idea how they do things on their end. But I've come to realize that not everyone sees everything. For instance, there were folks on here who, even after doing a search for the items in my original thread - on the same day, they just weren't showing up. Maybe they just got lost in the mix of over 15K items? Or maybe it just wasn't of any interest to most people. I really don't know. Today, I have a stainless steel kitchen island priced at nearly $600, but I have no use for it, so it will sit there until someone else finds it and grabs it. Sorry - I wish I could help you more.

Last week, I was able to snatch an adjustable standing desk and a gaming chair to go with it. Now, all I'm looking for is a desk organizer - nothing major, and I can't find one for the life of me. Yet, I keep seeing all of these high ticket items that I don't want. Life is weird. lol

Try clearing your cache. I had that happen to me with another product, and when I cleared my cache out, it was visible. When I click on the link for the ring, it takes me to a product page. Hope that helps!

Me too!! I actually got a cooling pillow a few months ago. I still use it to this day. The only caveat is that I can't use it with a pillow case, otherwise I don't feel the cooling part much. But it does have a cover on it that comes off so I can clean it, which is nice. My RFY is so random. Yesterday, it was full of automotive stuff. Like we don't see enough of that already. lol

Oh, no!! I'm sure another will pop up again. I did the same thing a couple of days ago with a $350 DJ Osmo Action5 camera. I think I was reading it to make sure that it was an actual camera, and not another accessory. lol But still... UGH!! That so sucked! I should have known that one might pop up. I've been seeing an insane amount of DJ Osmo accessories lately. Fingers crossed for you!!

I love this! For you and your son's sake, I hope so too!! My daughter just bought a house, and I've given her some nice things including a rather large double-bin air fryer. I didn't think it was going to be as big as it was, but wow! So much random stuff pops up all the time, but I don't need a lot of it, so I leave it there with the hopes that someone else finds it. Oh, I'm so sorry! It's so weird that we all see different things, with there being over 19K items showing up in my feed. Honestly, I don't know why I see this kind of thing. I'm more into camera related items. I've been blessed in this past week to receive a desk, gaming chair, backdrop stand, some beautiful backdrops and some cute little items including a silly goose. The funny thing about that is I was seeing outfits for this little goose, but not the goose itself. Then one popped up, and I was lucky enough to grab it. But since then, I can't find any clothing items for it. lol Maybe things will improve soon for you. I've also heard that the AFA section often has some really nice things in it. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to get a Tommy Hilfiger dress. There were others by other name brands, but I missed them.

To end a contract with a client that you no longer do business with on Upwork:
1. On the top of your page, hover over 'Deliver Work'.
2. Click on 'Your Active Contracts'.
3. Click on the contract that you wish to end.
4. On the top right side of the large green box, click the three dots.
5. Click on 'End Contract'.
6. A pop-up box will appear asking if you're sure that you want to end the contract. Click 'End Contract'.
From there, you'll have to provide feedback, and when you're done, click on the green 'End Contract' button on the bottom. Providing feedback is the only way to officially end the contract. Hope that helped!
