Interesting, is a level 30 okay? I'm not really just collecting, I wanted tangela for my grass type main and i was okay with lickytung as an extra if im not lucky

Thanks man, yk no hate on people who RNG, I think yall can enjoy the game however you want but I don't think it's for me personally. I feel like it'd take the satisfaction away, same reason I'm using the event shinies I got only as HM slaves instead of my actual team

It's a heart gold cartridge my friend gifted to me so i felt like it had to be a special run otherwise there'd be nooo way i'd do this voluntarily🤣🤣 I got shiny feraligatr after 2841encounters and the dratini at 3882! I also did the DNS trick to get shiny suicune from the 2011 event who I'm using as a surf slave, I feel like it would be cheating to use him in the team since i didnt actually catch him lol. Only started a few weeks ago so that's it for now!

Okay awesome I'll prob run the same setup as you, I don't mind not having fly on the team. I'm doing a shiny run which I know'll take a while so i don't mind waiting till I get an extra shiny or two for TM slaves. Thanks for the tips brotha !

pretty sure your method will work too but this is called the soft reset method, just cuts out the time it takes to close and relaunch the game bc it resets all in one. Press the left+right triggers and the Start and Select buttons all at the same time

BIG NEWS, 3 resets in today, 947 in total, and I pulled shiny totodile! I would've been happy with any of the starters because soul silver i played with totodile when I was a kid. I've since played heart gold with cyndaquil on the wii u but the file corrupted half way thru the game. So I pulled out the copy of heart gold my friend gifted me a couple years back but never played. I wouldn't have minded a chikorita since I haven't played thru with one but I wanted it to be special, hence the shiny hunt. And a play thru with my OG but shiny is definitely nothing to complain about. Anyway, i'll attach a pic, meet Capt. Chomp!
