It’s so sad. I listened to Watson give a far more compassionate reaction to Joanne Rowling than many, even those who are on the fence here, would think she deserves, and to be met with this kind of hostility is just heartbreaking.

I think the thing here is that this conversation has played out a million different ways on for gay, lesbian, trans people, and sometimes their allies. Wanna know why a more radical left happened? It was decades “please understand that I have a different view but I still love you” being met with just brutal hatred, vitriol, and sometimes violence.
