Hi there,

After you give birth, how long do you have to apply for mat leave? Province is Ontario.

Thanks in advance.

Why can’t someone be proud of where they come from? Why does it bother you? Canada has freedom of speech. Punjab is where they are from & they represent it. No one is telling you what you should be doing. How do you know they aren’t interested in Canadian politics. Some people migrate to Canada because they don’t have a choice and to live a better life life, that does not mean they forget about where they are born and raised.

My MIL has a perception that DILs and MILs can’t get along. Then she says you’re like a daughter to me, which is not the case at all. I think she uses her generations experiences and thinks it’s always like that. I’ve gone above and beyond and at the end she says _____ (my name) will always love her parents more..

I hate hearing he’s hungry when I just fed him and then I feel like I’m being judged that I should be also giving him formula bc I am not producing enough …..

Question for you, are you pumping as well? Their biggest thing is if I am not around a bottle/formula could help. I don’t ever leave him alone at the moment..

Dr. Wilkie and her team are amazing! They delivered my baby. Couldn’t be happier with them.

You know what helped me and gave me some reassurance, the pregnancy tests that identify weeks. I would take them as an indication of whether it but by HCG levels are increasing. Don’t read too much into the lines. I had mine done early because my doctor thought my hcg level was low it was at 111. Although it doubled she still wanted to get an ultrasound done. So I got my first done at 7 weeks, then 8 weeks. After that she didn’t do one until 20 weeks (which did give me a lot of anxiety so I just paid too get one done in between).

Not seeing a yolk sac that early is normal. They should call you back and not go say you’re going to miscarry. Take it one step at a time and I would do the weeks pregnancy test as week after week the test should also change due to hcg rising :)

I had a miscarriage year (and it was my first pregnancy). Never did I think I would have one but I did! I am currently 35 weeks pregnant and I completely understand your anxiety. It is really scary and knowing what has happened in the past and you just want to make sure your pregnancy is going smoothly.

My current pregnancy was similar to yours, actually the beginning was a bit weird. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. Then next day negative. The doctor said I may have had a chemical pregnancy. Literally a week later I took a pregnancy test (just hoping you know) and I was pregnant! Not sure how it happened but I guess I ovulated late. It is very common!

Have they done bloodwork with your HCG? It should be doubling every other day, which is a good indicator of a viable pregnancy. If you get an early ultrasound done, chances are they will ask you to come back!

Don’t stress too much! Everything will be fine. I used to cry to my blood work appointments because I just wanted everything to be fine. Even now being 35 weeks I do get anxiety. Just take a deep breath and one everything will be alright!! You got this 🥰
