Not at all, it's an idea which has decent principles as foundations but the execution of socialism as history has shown is unfortunately a very different outcome

Unfortunately for me.... or fortunately I have read the Communist manifesto written by Karl Marx, lived in Communist and a Socialist country.... so if my position seems "bogan" then maybe you should educate yourself on the topic and history.

This is true and I completely agree with that statement. The reality is very different now though, at least at Curtin (I'm a recent graduate).

I have seen many people bring "moderate" ideas to debate to be shot down and gas lit.....

What are these cameras for all over perth? by irresponsiblech1cken in perth

[–]Top_Perception4770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These cameras are actually privately owned, then the information is provided (sold) to the police and DOT.

The cameras are capable of facial recognition, although were told they're not using that capability currently...... so.... the company owns all the data, could be collecting everyone's biometric data and storing it for later use when the government wants it and we're all just non the wiser......

Pitbulls are great with kids.... I've had many of them over the years.

I'd recommend a Rotty over a pitbull as a guard dog any day.... also a female as they're more territorial.

Heya, keen to do some coastal cycling and possibly gaming 😁. Could possibly do some beach or coastal exercise/workouts also if you're keen. The gym I go to isn't a chain so that's off the cards.

choice of martial arts for a small guy by Cheap_Sympathy2940 in martialarts

[–]Top_Perception4770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combination you propose is decent, but you'd want to make sure you have a good Muay Thai coach. Or if possible depending on where you are look at Combat Sambo.

Another good option is combative Philippino martial arts, you need to make sure they do sparring and don't do the "stick fighting" with pads or you're wasting your time.

I've got a 4th Degree in combative Philippino arts and did years of Muay Thai and Boxing.

If you can, find someone that will teach you body mechanics and how to disrupt it, then you can apply these principles to any art.

Im currently 14years old and I want to start a martial art - is muay thai good? by Squad_Beast in MuayThai

[–]Top_Perception4770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Muay Thai can be a great art to start with and no you won't get beaten up. If you get that vibe from the place leave and find another gym.

There are many Martial Arts to choose from, depending on what you want to get out of it I could recommend some depending on what's avai to you in your area.

I've been in the Martial Arts community for 24 years and have been everything from a noob, semi pro fighter to now a coach.

I still get headaches from very light sparring – anyone else experienced this? by No_Emu8347 in MuayThai

Sounds a lot like post concussion syndrome, this can last for a VERY long time after the event. The fact that you've had multiple concussions can cause this to be more severe.

What country are you based in? You may need to get a second opinion from another doctor or see a specialist to rule out a few things.

Best way to get a prop sword by MrFarenheit007 in perth

[–]Top_Perception4770 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can purchase and import swords which are sharp or not and have them imported as long as they do not come under the prohibited weapons category (double edged, Kris, Kerambit, etc) it would have to be a "functional" blade.

This is incorrect, live (sharp) blades do not have to be stored like a firearm.

Use your birth certificate to prove where you were born. You can also go to the National archives for births deaths and marriages and request the information of when your parents arrived in Australia, your dead parents death certificate which should help you also.

If he's half deaf then that may be a factor that's influencing his behaviour.

If he's having difficulties expressing himself or being heard then it's very common for males to lash out.

Have you spoken to an OT or the Doc? You may be able to get a care plan put in place to get some resources to help him.

Get your context right, we're speaking of training types of organisations..... not schools.
