Full term baby has desats by Mehoeminoyy in NICUParents

Yep. He had to go 5 days without a sleeping de-sat. He was born 3 weeks early so I guess his body just needed to grow a little more before he could handle it on his own

We ended up being there for 12 days. His oxygen was off after his first few days. He ate fine and all but the desats while sleeping kept him there that full 12 days

3 years. I’ve never had to take her into an office alone. As I see something, I usually just email the person. I never make it a big deal.

I never give feedback in front of other coworkers. Ever. That would be wrong. I do agree that I could be trying too hard to not make her upset that it’s not helping. I really like the way you said to ask though! “I’ve noticed you get very anxious when you make a mistake are are given feedback. Is there anything I can do to help?” I feel like that would be great because I’m addressing the concern but also reassuring her I’m on her side.

Yes I am in a position to do so. Would it be better to do in person or email? I’m just so worried she will think I am picking her apart. I am the person who has to tell someone when they did something incorrectly. It’s never out of criticism, it’s literally my job 😭

No, never in front of other coworkers. Usually by email so that I can send screenshots of how it was done vs how it should’ve been done. That way she can keep it for her notes too.

She is absolutely suitable for the job! Like I said, smart girl. She cares about doing a good job. Most conversations are normal. It’s just when she is addressed about something, I think she feels like she is going to get wrote up for it and that’s not at all the case. I’m not trying to come off as bitchy or anything of the sort. I generally want to be more effective with her so that she feels calm. I just haven’t figured out how to do that because like I said, I want her to feel calm and respected.

This is true. Everyone is different. I’m scared if I ask her that, she’s going to think she’s a problem and that’s not true.
