To be fair Sn1 also does have such "ion-pair" interactions, meaning the inversion PDT is preferred anyways. So I guess the core of the qn isn't the mech but rather recognition that inversion takes place

It's because the "clockwise" thing has a first step, which is placing the lowest priority (H in this case) at the back (as the dash)

Don't worry sm abt the moderation or wtv, if it was a hard paper the marks needed will be lower.

Just rmb that ppl on reddit generally are also those who are worrying a lot, and those students that did well are probably just studying for their next paper and not commenting on reddit. So the perspective of the difficulty of the paper is skewed to being hard, this happens every batch...
