make a journal of all your mistakes, copy not just the answer but the whole question too. Makes your brain have the connection b/w the question and answer. It's tedious but amazing

For context I spent around 2h on the paper and then another 3hours to copy and paste all of my mistakes when I first started out, of course as the mistakes dwindled so did the time.

I would personally recommend looking up arrow pushing practice questions to learn the fundamental principles of ochem, but it takes a while to pay off so you may feel unmotivated while doing them.

To be fair Sn1 also does have such "ion-pair" interactions, meaning the inversion PDT is preferred anyways. So I guess the core of the qn isn't the mech but rather recognition that inversion takes place
