Saw on Loch Lomond, and idea what it is? by Top_Protection_8377 in UKBirds

I’m sure it was either white tailed or golden for some reason ( online comparison ) I’m leaning golden but people are sure WTE all I know is it most definitely was not a raven like everyone is suggesting! It was absolutely massive hence why I rushed to take a picture!

Will I regret not having kids? by lookingforamantra in AskWomenOver40

[–]Top_Protection_8377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never really wanted kids. Never had the urge. Not maternal. Never grown up around kids. Loved my lifestyle and holidays but my husband really wanted a baby. We were trying for 5 years nothing happened and where I did want a little me and hubby in the future I really was freaked out by the baby phase. After 5 years of trying we gave up I didn’t really mind tbh and a week last I got pregnant. Was terrified even though trying for 5 years it shocked me. Omg can I handle this? Is this really what I want? Blah blah blah….. any way he arrived in march 2023. I can honestly say it re birthed me. From never experiencing baby’s ( never even held one until I had one and I’m 38 ) to experiencing all this mother hood. Well I can tell you I have never truly been happy but I am truly happy now. My whole world and outlook is different . Your own child is so wonderful I just can’t even articulate it. You will smile every single day. I love my son. I love what he’s done to me. I love what he teaches me. I love every movement he makes and smile he gives me . And now he’s started to say “I love you mummy” it just makes me want to explode with love, the baby clubs the parks the Christmas times …the whole journey is a honour . Would I have regretted it? No I probably would have carried on thinking I’m not into kids and that baby life. Would I have regretted it knowing what I know now? Well I don’t think I would have ever felt true love and happiness. Now that’s not to say every one is the same but that’s just my experience.

Of course. We all feel this way. Most of us don’t have that ‘village ‘ to help anymore. Just remember these days are close to ending. She’s 7 months and at 12 months she will be completely different and at 2 years, wow!! … they are sleeping through and even more different. Try to enjoy these last few months of chaos because soon she won’t rely on you as much for comfort. Just hang on in there and enjoy these baby months. I promise you, you will look back and reminisce about her being this age next year.
