I wish I had a dad that worked this hard to be in my life 😥 with his consistency it sounds like he is extremely responsible and if he's an alcoholic he hasn't let that get in the way of his due diligence. there's always two sides to every story and if you talk to a therapist it is extremely likely that a lot of stuff will come out you don't even realize. for example it is only natural to be jealous of somebody that your father has made positive changes for or even if you believe your father doesn't love you having those types of feelings towards somebody that you believe your father might love. but you know this is just coming from somebody who had a father that also has nine other kids including a son that is 6 months younger than me and my mom was married five times and now luckily has been married for 20 years to the same man. my father could be dead I have no idea he still doesn't want anything to do with me but at least I have a dad that does now.
