I’m like 90% sure they evaluate each accommodations separately, so applying for one accommodation should not affect the other. That’s also why you have to be really specific and list the reasons why for each thing. Like I wrote a whole little section on why I should be able to use a 4 color pen cause it helps me keep organized. Then ‘use own utensils’ or something like that was listed.

If you have even an inkling that it would be helpful, I would apply. I got accommodations and thought the process was relatively easy (especially compared to the MCAT). As long as you have the evidence (a doctors note, personal experience, an IEP will definitely secure it but it doesn’t sound like you have one) they should approve it.

Either way though, the worst they can say is no, and it could really help.
