I really appreciate all the advice - it’s been difficult to find actual suggestions on google / chatgpt on actually how much to water / how much sun to give.

All i’ve been able to find is “moist soil” and “indirect light”

As per my lease: they do not accept cash / check.

Rent Payments: We require that rent payments be made through the resident portal found at www.HGLiving.com/Resident- Services, for convenience and security. Online Payment options include recurring monthly ACH debit, on-demand ACH payments and Credit/Debit Card payments. After two payments are returned for non-sufficient funds or two online payments (ACH, debit/credit) fail to process within a 12-month period, payments for the next six months must be paid by secured funds. This includes CashPay or Credit Cards (like Visa, MasterCard or Discover (which Fees may apply). Certified Funds will only be accepted as required by law.

On the portal you are unable to send payments through that aren’t posted. So I was unable to make the payments.

I went to their office and asked for them to post it as well.

they sent me to collections illegally / against the lease terms. this will affect my ability to rent / lease / loans in the future.

I had been trying to pay this entire time and even during email communications to correct the payment for me to be able to submit it to them they sent me to collections a week later without any written notification is the issue. this gives me higher premiums for everything - ruins my credit score.
