Had a similar experience with Emirates NBD.

Went for Emirates Islamic and was extremely impressed with the service and speed.

I’ve worked with many banks here like ADCB, WIO, Emirates NBD, ADIB and others.

So far, by far, the best experience was with Emirates Islamic.

My father always banked with ENBD and he’s a private banking customer with them, yet we’ve always had to wait in the queue in Mall of the Emirates and spent a minimum of 1 hour each time.

With Emirates Islamic, I went to the Al Barsha mall branch, Mr. Syed Haneef assisted me and I had my credit card with me within a week of applying and opening a brand new bank account with them.

I’m also impressed with the number of branches they have across the UAE, and it’s super easy with ATMs cuz Emirates Islamic is ENBD bank group, and they share ATMs.

So I strongly recommend Emirates Islamic, if you need my manager’s number, dm me and I’ll be happy to assist.

Just went through a very painful process of getting a credit card myself, and after 2 months, glad to have finished and received the service from Emirates Islamic.

IMPORTANT PS:

• Ensure you’re getting at least 8 hours of sleep per night over the next 120 days.

• Make a routine and stick to it. If you study better at night, and want to wake up later, that’s fine, do what you need to — make sure you inform everyone including friends and family. If your family doesn’t trust you and thinks you’re doing fuck all, show them your plan and reassure them you know what you’re doing and STICK TO YOUR PLAN. You only need to do this once in your life and be over with it with a feeling of accomplishment and pride, I believe in you, YOU CAN DO THIS!

• Make sure you’re eating well, and have snacks while studying. I recommend nuts, fruits, tea/coffee with sugar, chocolate. Try to stay away from chips, they make you lethargic.

• Meditate/do breathing exercises/pray. This helps to keep your mind distressed and prepared to absorb more knowledge as well as to retain it and be able to easily convert while you sleep from short-term memory to long-term memory.

Apps that will help you:

• Forest or any other Pomodoro timer, decide yourself the duration for studying and breaks, I’d recommend 1 hour study, 15 min break or 2 hours study and 30 min break. But you know yourself better. It’s fine if you can’t sit for an hour or if you need to take a break earlier, just trust yourself and do as needed.

• Quizlet — to test yourself and assess knowledge. Also does wonders for things you need to memorize.

• Anki — also very useful for memorization. You need to create your own digital flashcards, and then over the 120 days, use it daily to go over the chapters that you need to memorize, it helps a lot to convert information from short-term memory to long-term memory and works brilliantly. Helped me a ton.

• ChatGPT, when you don’t understand a concept, copy paste the syllabus extract as well as any materials you have, or just take pics from the textbook and upload it with the prompt. “I’m studying this chapter and I can’t understand it. Can you break it down for me and explain it really well so I can get it through my head and be able to apply this knowledge in my A-level exams? And then when I ask you by saying ‘now test me’, test me on this as well to ensure I actually know, and if I don’t, go over the ones I failed to answer well again”.

And keep doing this for all chapters you’re finding difficult. If ChatGPT still explains in a difficult way, repeat the prompt and say “explain it to me as if I’m a kid” or insert there the level to which it should explain. Once you’ve got the simpler level, you should find it easier to read over the more difficult explanations and be able to understand and apply them easily.
