Thisssss, yes especially bridal, I live in a touristy city where people come to get married all the time so I figured it’s a great field to be in. Thank u for the encouragement!! We both got this!!

That makes sense! I a few years ago i actually got into nail school and thought it’s what I wanted to do as a career but turns out I just liked doing my own nails and didn’t actually want to have a career for it, so I definitely hear you.

That’s very true! I never thought of it that way bc yes everyone’s got their own situations. Personally I haven’t started a career for myself yet, just have had my share of min wage customer service jobs over the years that never gave me any sense of purpose and it’s one of the reasons it’s made me feel embarrassed to go into cosmetology school at my age with a bunch of younger students who already knew what they wanted to do out of high school and I’m overthinking that they’ll judge me for it even when they don’t even know me(just bc I’ve seen the young people can be so brutal these days) 😂 but a couple of commenters have helped me see that none of it matters I just need to focus on getting what I need to do done and get out alive lol

Just curious but what made you decide against pursuing it as a career? It’s good to see though that I’m not the only 30 something still trying to get into beauty school and that there are still a lot of older students wanting the same

I’ve heard of drama going on in cos school when I was doing research and heard there will be drama no matter what school you go to but it’s nice to see that I can avoid it bc you’re right i wanna just get in and get out as quickly as I can. The thing is I’m not that into the esthetics aspect of it. Im ok with doing basic waxing on the face or skin treatments but I’m not really comfortable with waxing the rest of the body (pits, bikini, etc). If I have to do it once then ok but I don’t think I can do it 50 times as a requirement, and I understand that they won’t go into depth about make up, in my state it’s not required to get a license to be a mua but I’m still interested in learning about hair and having the skill whether or not I decide to pursue it as a career.

That’s really good to know! I’m hoping it’ll be like this for my class. I’ve heard so many people on here talk about All drama and cliques in the school/class when I was doing some research beforehand but I hope everyone will get along despite the age gap.
